Intercruises Port Operations is a specialist business providing cruise ship handling services to cruise lines in destinations throughout the world. Based in Barcelona you will be assisting cruise lines and other clients on their daily logistics operations in the Port of Barcelona. This position is Temporary, only to cover a paternity leave. /p h3About The Job /h3 ul liWork closely with our Port Agency Team, to ensure we deliver and collect all cargo during each cruise ship call in Barcelona. /li liSupervise coordinate all kind of shipments: airfreights, road freights and sea freights. /li liSupervise coordinate Customs Brokerage, local/international transportation, and warehousing services. /li liHandle the cargo logistics operations of landing goods: transport, customs brokerage, etc. /li liFinding alternatives to logistics problems and create contingency plans when necessary. /li liUpdate, maintain and close all logistics files in our operational software and ensure pre-invoicing is correct. /li liNegotiate rates for international or national spot shipments and quote customers accordingly. /li liLiaise and coordinate crew hotel bookings when necessary, including set up for invoicing. /li liOn site logistics operations assistance (at the pier) during ship's calls. /li /ul h3About You /h3 ul liPreferred University Degree or similar, such as International Trade or Logistics studies. /li liYou have worked in a Freight Forwarding company, a shipping line or handling cruise logistics operations. /li liYou are willing to work as part of a team, leading initiatives and setting new procedures to reach high levels of efficiency. /li liYou can work timely, efficient and precisely.
