In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing Octopus Energy’s electricity and gas portfolio, executing hedging strategies in financial markets and ensuring strict compliance with our risk policy. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liExecute and monitor hedging strategies in organized markets (OMIP, EEX, MIBGAS) and OTC markets. /li liPropose and adjust hedging strategies in line with the company’s risk policy and portfolio needs. /li liAnalyze market fundamentals to support hedging and pricing decisions. /li liCalculate and monitor portfolio risk and performance metrics, including MtM, PL, and VaR. /li liDevelop medium‑ and long‑term forecasts for consumption, customer growth, and churn. /li liManage the procurement and tracking of Guarantees of Origin (GoOs). /li liWork cross‑functionally with Finance, Procurement, and Commercial teams to align risk, pricing, and growth. /li /ul h3What You’ll Need to Shine in This Role /h3 ul li5+ years of experience in energy markets, portfolio management, risk analysis, trading or structured products (energy, commodities or financial markets). /li liStrong understanding of electricity and gas markets, forward curves, derivatives and hedging instruments. /li liProven experience managing price and volume risk for a customer or generation portfolio.
