ph3Overview /h3 pFactorial is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead product development, drive AI-enabled solutions, and step up the engineering team’s impact on business outcomes. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the team’s development while ensuring the health, scalability, and evolution of the product. /li liWork closely with business stakeholders, improve platform and service foundations, and collaborate across teams. /li liEnroll in and participate in hiring processes to bring top talent into the team. /li liOwn the hiring and career development of engineers, guiding them to successful careers. /li liDrive rapid experimentation, iteration, and learning loops within your team. /li liConduct weekly meetings, 1:1s, and RFC reviews, providing constructive feedback and alternatives. /li liCoordinate with other engineering managers on initiatives that span multiple teams. /li liMaintain focus on team well‑being and continuous process improvement. /li /ul h3Qualifications Experience /h3 ul liStrong leadership experience and an AI‑native engineering mindset. /li li5+ years as a full‑stack (or similar) engineer and 3+ years leading engineering teams. /li liProven ability to design APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.) and build integrations. /li liDeep understanding of scalability, performance, and quality in production systems. /li liExperience in building or contributing to AI‑powered features or workflows in production.
/li liFamiliarity with modern AI development practices such as spec‑driven development, evaluation frameworks, Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, agentic workflows, and human‑in‑the‑loop systems. /li liActive use of AI‑assisted development tools and guidance on reviewing, validating, and safely deploying AI‑generated code. /li liAwareness of limitations and risks of LLM‑based systems and a commitment to responsible AI practices. /li liEncourages rapid experimentation and identifies opportunities where AI creates real user value. /li /ul h3AI‑Native Engineering Product Mindset /h3 pEngineering Managers are expected to treat AI as a core component of software, not an add‑on, and lead teams building AI‑powered products. /p h3Working Model /h3 pFactorial follows an office‑first, versátil approach, encouraging on‑site collaboration several days a week while supporting remote work when appropriate. /p h3Salary /h3 ul liEngineering Manager: 62,000€ Base and 9,300€ Variable paid quarterly, with 25% ESOP after one year. /li liSenior Engineering Manager: 77,000€ Base and 15,400€ Variable paid quarterly, with 50% ESOP after one year. /li /ul h3EEO Inclusion /h3 pFactorial welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and strongly encourages people of diverse experiences and identities to apply.
