The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management. /ph3What you will do: /h3pAistech Space is looking for a RF Payload Systems Engineer to be part of the Space Infrastructure Team in charge of designing, analysing, integrating and testing the new ENABLER payloads of our constellation.br/This new position offers the opportunity to coordinate the interfacing between our ENABLER payloads with the new satellite platforms, as well as preparing the mission for daily operations in conjunction with the Ground and User infrastructure teams.br/In this role, you are expected to deal with the different Aistech departments, suppliers, clients, RD proposals, bureaucratic paperwork, launch plans and a long list of activities to push the company forward.br/The main responsibility for this job position is leading technically a heterogeneous team of engineers/scientists/sw developers to deliver the next ENABLER payloads into orbit and ensure the best geometric and radiometric performance of the ENABLER payloads producing high-quality imaging products.br/You will also be responsible to follow internal standards and good practices in terms of project management, documentation and time management following an agile approach in your daily work and ensuring the team is also doing it. /ppThe daily tasks to be achieved in this position are: /pulliUnderstand Aistech Space’s mission objectives. /liliDevelop comprehensive understanding of our satellites and payloads. /liliBe part of the Space Infrastructure department in different phases: design and analysis, integration and testing. /liliBe hands-on developing technical calculations to prepare payload budgets focused on RF systems KPIs such as RF link budget, power budget.
/liliBe able to research for new technologies, create prototyping ideas, be proactive in pushing new technology, operational ideas, calibration methods, system concepts, etc. /liliBe able of writing your own code when needed, follow internal standards, make it testable and document it properly. /liliBe part of the negotiation team, working closely with our partners and suppliers, understanding their proposal and adjusting it to our objectives. /liliKeep the best communication between internal teams: ground, user and operations infrastructure teams aligned with business development. /liliRecommend the adoption of new technologies, products, and services. /liliWrite articles regarding different areas of interest to be published in our Aistech News magazine and on our website blog. /liliActively engage in the development of documentation to build out the company procedures and specification manuals. /li /ulh3Who you are: /h3h3Must: /h3ulliBSc/MSc in Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or relevant degree. /liliOpen minded and extrovert, active learner and tolerant to criticism. /liliProven experience in a full cycle of a payload system in a satellite mission, from early phases until launch, preferably RF (L, S, X, Ku, Ka-bands, or Telecommunication, SAR/SIGINT payloads). /liliStrong knowledge of RF performance budgeting. /liliKnowledge of RF hardware design. /liliStrong knowledge of payload technologies and satellite subsystems: power, comms, AOCS, propulsion, RF payloads, etc. /liliWork on RF spacecraft architecture with various teams (e.g., FPGA, electronics, mechanical, software).
/liliExperience leading a team technically to deliver a payload into orbit. /liliBasic experience in manufacturing, integrating or testing of prototype mechanical parts. /liliBasic experience in payload and/or satellite verification engineering procedures / processes. /liliBasic experience in ground support equipment for AIV testing (MGSE/EGSE). /liliBasic experience in environmental testing of space hardware (vibration, acoustic, shock, thermal vacuum, EMC). /liliBasic experience developing code in Python. /liliWorking knowledge of Linux. /liliWorking knowledge of Agile methodologies. /liliFluent in English. /li /ulh3Nice to have: /h3ulliExperience in any related projects with RF Payloads (Telecommunication, SAR, SIGINT, etc). /liliExperience in STK, GMAT, MATLAB/SIMULINK or similar simulation SW packages. /liliKnowledge of open geospatial application standards and formats (e.g. OGC’s WMS, WMTS, API, etc. as well as STAC, COG, etc.). /liliKnowledge of containerized applications (e.g., Docker). /li /ulh3Where you will be: /h3pYou will be working on-site in the headquarters offices of Sant Cugat in Barcelona.
