This role is for a senior welding specialist focused mainly on laser welding, providing global plant support, technical standardization, feasibility analysis, and guidance on welding equipment and processes. The position also supports innovation by evaluating AI and software solutions for welding, analyzing cost savings, and helping integrate welding data into smarter digital systems. /p h3What will your responsibilities be? /h3 ul liGlobal Plant support for Laser welding (Prio A) (Robot, Fixture, Tru-tops, Precitec, specification) and/or GMAW, Resistance welding (Prio C) /li liStandardization, Specification, feasibility support in Laser welding (Prio A) and/or GMAW, resistance welding (Prio B) /li liGuide new AI applications and new software solutions (analytic approach; open to probability-based AI model calculations) in welding as pilot user for future applications. /li liMarket observation of welding AI application trends; follow state-of-the-art technology for laser welding, GMAW, AI application softwares for welding. /li liPayback analysis of potential applications in the welding area. /li liWelding machine concepts (LCC, MCC, HCC variations). /li liPhysical tryouts (internal or external) of critical design elements / fixture concepts. /li liStandardize PFMEA for welding, guide rework concepts, consulting with design engineering and SMTE welding. /li liSupport for weld equipment specification with detailed technical instructions. /li liMain tasks for next years:
Integration isolated welding data (weld parameters, AI weld seam inspection, CE, MES machine data) into one combined software system supported by an online weld expert knowledge base (all AI supported). /li /ul h3Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees? /h3 ul liSuccessfully completed studies in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering. /li liExperience in automotive industry and production environment. /li liMinimum 10 years of experience in welding (mainly laser welding) in Seat Structures and Mechanism (SSM) operations with use of Trutops, Precitec, Fixture adjustment, robot programming, Cut and etch analysis, CMM/gauge validation. /li liDeep understanding of welding data (weld process data, online monitoring data, cut and etch data) and their validation by logical analysis decision trees. /li liSaving and cost estimation. /li li3D CAD Design experiences, GDT, tolerance stacking. /li liLayout creation, PFMEA, time analysis, cost calculation for welding processes. /li liFlexibility and willingness to travel (supplier, plants, TC). /li liAdvanced English knowledge. /li /ul h3Equal Employment Opportunity Statement /h3 pAdient is committed to equal employment opportunity, diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
