The mission is to research, develop and manage information technologies to facilitate scientific progress. /p h3Context and Mission /h3 pThe AI Factory is developing a growing portfolio of AI services that depend on high‑quality, trusted, and well‑governed data. We are looking for an AI Engineer – AI Data Platforms Engineering who will bridge AI engineering and data engineering disciplines, building and maintaining data foundations that enable AI applications. The mission is to transform data into a strategic asset for AI delivery by creating scalable data architectures, improving data quality, and enabling trustworthy AI systems. /p h3Key Duties /h3 ul liDesign, develop, and maintain data pipelines supporting AI and analytics use cases. /li liPrepare, transform, and structure data for AI model consumption and retrieval systems. /li liBuild and maintain knowledge bases, semantic indexes, and embedding pipelines. /li liImplement data quality controls, validation processes, and monitoring mechanisms. /li liDefine data models, schemas, metadata standards, and governance practices. /li liSupport secure and compliant data access, handling sensitive and regulated information appropriately. /li liCollaborate with AI engineers, researchers, and platform teams to deliver AI‑ready datasets and services. /li liDevelop data‑driven applications, analytics capabilities, and evaluation datasets for AI systems.
/li liProduce technical documentation related to data architecture, lineage, and operational processes. /li liContribute to data engineering standards, reusable components, and best practices. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul libEducation /b ul liBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a related technical discipline. /li /ul /li libEssential Knowledge and Professional Experience /b ul li3–5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or related roles. /li liStrong experience with Python, SQL, and modern data processing frameworks. /li liExperience designing and operating ETL/ELT pipelines and data orchestration workflows. /li liExperience working with data lakes, data warehouses, lakehouses, or large‑scale analytical platforms. /li liKnowledge of data modeling, metadata management, data quality, governance, and lineage concepts. /li liExperience supporting AI and machine learning use cases through data preparation and engineering. /li liUnderstanding of embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and retrieval systems. /li liExperience with cloud‑based data platforms and services. /li liExperience with Git, CI/CD, testing, and modern software delivery practices. /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
