ppThe Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) Research Group has a twenty-year history providing clinical care and researching in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), other motor neuron diseases (hereditary spastic paraplegias, post-polio syndrome and spinal muscular atrophies), as well as in myasthenia gravis, genetically determined myopathies, and peripheral neuropathies. /p pWe are seeking a Biomedical Sciences Graduate to support research projects in immunology and neuromuscular disorders, focusing on the study of disease mechanisms and the identification of novel biomarkers. /p h3Main responsibilities and duties /h3 ul liCoordinate and manage the spectral flow cytometry workflow as the transversal reference person for both departments: panel design and optimisation, preparation of unmixing and control samples, instrument set‑up and quality control, data acquisition, and the drafting and updating of the corresponding standard operating procedures. This includes acting as the point of contact for spectral cytometry across the collaborating groups and providing technical guidance and training to other team members. /li liProvide support in the performance of the remaining immunological assays required by the project, including sample preparation, assay execution and troubleshooting. /li liCollaborate with the research teams and clinical staff of both departments in the experimental design, execution of the studies and critical discussion of results, contributing to the scientific interpretation of the data in regular project meetings. /li liPrepare and organise the biological samples, reagents, materials and documentation required for the development of the project, including sample processing and biobanking, stock management, orders and compliance with standard operating procedures. /li liAnalyse the data generated by spectral flow cytometry and other immunological techniques, using appropriate software tools, including high‑dimensional analysis approaches, and integrate the results with the available clinical data. /li liPrepare figures, tables and scientific materials for internal reports, project deliverables, conference presentations and manuscripts, and contribute to the writing and revision of scientific publications derived from the project.



/li liMonitor and track the achievement of project milestones, adherence to established timelines, and compliance with laboratory quality, traceability and biosafety standards. /li /ul h3Education and qualifications /h3 h3Required /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in Biomedicine (or an equivalent degree in Biology, Biotechnology or Biochemistry). /li liFluency in Catalan, Spanish and English (professional proficiency). /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liPrevious experience in neurology research. /li liKnowledge of French. /li /ul h3Experience and knowledge /h3 h3Required /h3 ul liStrong organisational skills, autonomy, reliability and a strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to manage several parallel workflows and coordinate activities between two departments. /li liSpecialised training and demonstrable hands‑on experience in spectral flow cytometry, including multicolour panel design, unmixing procedures and control strategy, instrument setup and quality control, and data analysis. /li liPrevious experience with immunological laboratory techniques (cell isolation and culture, immunophenotyping, functional assays, ELISA/multiplex or equivalent). /li liExperience in the handling and processing of human biological samples, including traceability and biosafety procedures. /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 h3Labour conditions /h3 ul liWorking hours: Full-time (37,5 hours per week). /li liStarting date: As soon as possible. /li liGross annual salary: Remuneration will be determined by experience, skills and responsibilities and aligned with the Collective Agreement pay scale. /li liContract type: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to project activities.
