ppSinch is a Customer Communication Cloud company powering conversations across messaging voice and email helping businesses deliver personalized customer experiences at scale More than businesses including leading general tech companies rely on Sinch /p h3The Role /h3 pWe are building the next generation of conversational AI infrastructure As a Senior Java Software Engineer on the Agentic Orchestration Platform team you will design build and own core components that coordinate AI agents workflow execution and multichannel communication via SMS WhatsApp and voice at scale /p pThis is a zero to one opportunity to build a new platform from the ground up You will work on complex problems with high autonomy as part of a small senior team with significant impact You will collaborate with Engineering Manager Tech Lead Product Manager Domain Architect and cross functional teams /p h3What You Will Do /h3 ul liDesign and build core platform components with high ownership and autonomy /li liDrive system design and create technical proposals /li liWork on distributed event driven systems combining deterministic workflows and AI agent behavior /li liWrite production grade software including clean maintainable code with tests and documentation Build systems that are observable debuggable and resilient /li liOwn full lifecycle including design deployment monitoring and on call responsibilities /li liFollow build ship run approach /li liDevelop platform components integrating LLMs and AI agents /li liWork with prompt management context handling function calling guardrails and error recovery /li liAddress challenges like testing non deterministic systems fallback strategies latency and cost optimization /li liContribute to engineering excellence through architecture discussions code reviews and standards definition /li liMentor team members and share knowledge /li liCollaborate across teams with product and technical stakeholders /li liProvide technical guidance and trade offs and align solutions with business needs /li /ul h3What We Are Looking For /h3 ul liFive to eight plus years of professional software engineering experience /li liStrong backend and platform skills including distributed systems microservices event driven architectures and cloud native design. /li liAbility to explain architectural trade offs clearly. /li liStrong engineering fundamentals including clean code testing strategies debugging production systems and building reliable long lasting systems /li liExperience with Java Spring AI TypeScript or React Deep expertise in at least two core backend technologies and willingness to learn others quickly /li liExperience using AI coding tools such as Copilot Claude Code Cursor or similar /li liUnderstanding benefits risks and best practices /li liAbility to work autonomously define scope and deliver solutions independently Strong decision making on prioritization /li liExperience with cloud and operations including AWS Docker Kubernetes CI CD GitOps infrastructure as code and monitoring /li liStrong communication skills with both technical and non technical stakeholders Fluent English required /li /ul h3Nice to have /h3 ul liExperience with Temporal and Kafka /li liExperience with conversational AI LLMs or agent based systems /li liExperience building platforms from scratch /li liBackground in CPaaS or communication platforms /li /ul pThe annual salary for this position is between €60.000 until €80.000 Factors which may affect pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, and other qualifications /p h3OUR HIRING PROCESS /h3 pWe are committed to ensuring a recruitment process that is fair, objective, consistent, and inclusive.
