Role Overview

Senior civil engineer (design engineer) within our multidisciplinary Water Division. Work on design projects covering water treatment, distribution, wastewater drainage and recycling, desalination and related services for UK and Ireland water utilities.

Responsibilities

-

- Deliver project design from feasibility through detailed design, construction support and commissioning.

- Prepare design submissions and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

- Conduct studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design.

- Interface and liaise with clients and stakeholders, across the integrated team in Spain, UK and Ireland.

Candidate Specification
Essential

-

- Civil Engineering degree or other relevant degree.

- Chartered or near chartered status (ICE or equivalent).

- Water and/or wastewater engineering design experience.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Understanding of the importance of prioritising health, safety, and environmental issues.

- Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt to changing scenarios.

Desirable

- Strong digital capability (e.g., Civils 3D, GIS, pipeline hydraulics software).

- Experience contributing to low‑carbon solutions.
