No /ph3Offer Description /h3pThe AmyloidTech research group at the University of Barcelona is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join the AmyloVir project, Inhibiting Respiratory Virus Fusion with Anti-Amyloid Compounds: From Proof-of-Concept to Pandemic Preparedness. The project aims to develop innovative antiviral strategies by targeting amyloidogenic protein regions involved in viral entry. /ppThe successful candidate will conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of computational biology, biophysics, drug discovery and virology, using state-of-the-art techniques including molecular modelling, biophysical characterization and pseudovirus-based viral entry assays. The candidate will contribute to experimental design, data analysis, scientific dissemination and collaborative research within an international environment, supporting the development of next-generation broad-spectrum antivirals for pandemic preparedness. /ppbMaster Degree or equivalent in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Neuroscience or related disciplines. /b /ppHold a BSc/MSc in in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy, Neuroscience or related disciplines, and fulfil the requirements to be admitted into the PhD Programme in Research,
