No /p h3Offer Description /h3 pThe Robotics and Automation Unit at Eurecat Technology Center (Barcelona) seeks a highly motivated bAI-Robotics Software Engineer /b with strong hands‑on experience in bsoftware architecture, quality coding processes, AI deployment stacks, and model fine‑tuning /b. This position specifically targets applied RD in bCognitive Robotics /b, emphasizing robot cognition, autonomous decision‑making, and natural human‑robot interaction. /p pOur primary focus is on developing the robot's "brain"—enhancing its capabilities in perception, reasoning, planning, learning, behavior orchestration, and natural interaction. We leverage advanced AI technologies and methodologies, including bsemantic perception, open-world semantics, physical and spatial reasoning, world modeling, knowledge representation /b, and multimodal AI architectures involving Large Language Models (bLLMs /b), Vision-Language Models (bVLMs /b), Vision-Language-Action Models (bVLAs /b), and emerging technologies like agentic AI. /p pOur team boasts nearly 20 years of experience specializing in bService and Industrial Robotics /b. Explore our research lines and projects: and join our dynamic, passionate team dedicated to innovation in robotics! /p pbWHAT WILL YOU DO /bbr/If you join the team, you will: /p pbContribute to advanced cognitive robotics RD /b /p ul liContribute scientifically and technically to cognitive robotics projects. /li liConceptualize and implement advanced robot perception, world understanding, and interaction capabilities, including semantic understanding, physical reasoning, multimodal perception, and comprehensive world modeling. /li liDefine, prototype, and validate innovative robotic behaviors and interaction paradigms. /li /ul pbDesign and deploy production-ready AI systems /b /p ul liDesign, develop, validate,



and maintain high-quality software architectures suitable for production-oriented RD. /li liDeploy and optimize AI stacks across edge and cloud infrastructures, including model training pipelines and deployment on embedded systems (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson). /li liFine-tune AI models to meet specific robotic application requirements. /li /ul pbValidate systems in real robotic settings /b /p ul liSupport robot integration activities and experimental field trials when required. /li liEnsure robustness, performance, and reliability of deployed robotic solutions. /li /ul pbCollaborate, communicate, and disseminate /b /p ul liParticipate in scientific dissemination and publication activities. /li liAssist in project management to guarantee successful project execution. /li liMaintain effective communication with clients and project consortium partners. /li /ul pbSKILLS EXPERIENCE /b /p pbMust-Have /b /p ul liMSc degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or related disciplines. /li liHands‑on experience contributing to cognitive robotics or AI‑driven robotic systems. /li liStrong programming skills in bPython /b and bC++ /b, with experience developing reusable, documented, and version-controlled code. /li liPractical experience with bROS or ROS2 /b and robotic software integration. /li liExperience using deep learning frameworks such as bPyTorch /b or bTensorFlow /b. /li liFamiliarity with designing and maintaining bmodular, scalable, and maintainable software architectures /b. /li liExperience training, fine‑tuning, or optimizing AI models for robotic or embodied AI applications. /li liBasic experience deploying AI components on real systems, including interaction with edge or cloud infrastructures. /li liAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams. /li liStrong communication skills and fluency in bEnglish /b. /li liWillingness to occasionally support robot integration, experiments, or field trials. /li liAvailability for occasional travel. /li /ul pbNice-to-Have /b /p ul liExperience deploying and optimizing bfull AI stacks /b across edge/cloud infrastructures, including production-level training pipelines. /li liExperience with deployment and optimization on bembedded GPU platforms /b, such as bNVIDIA Jetson /b, and familiarity with bCUDA programming /b. /li liAdvanced expertise in AI-driven perception and world understanding,
