The role involves applying machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to cancer genome projects, aiming to understand mutational processes and mechanisms underlying driver mutations affecting cancer genes. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliIndependently design and test computational genomics analyses, interpret and discuss results. /liliCollaborate with a multidisciplinary research team and external collaborators. /liliContribute to a culture of scientific excellence, efficiency, and teamwork. /liliAssist with other lab projects and maintain protocols and laboratory resources. /liliCritically analyze analytical results, participate in scientific discussions and prepare scientific communication (seminars, conferences). /liliParticipate in project activities: meetings, presentations, lab visits, data set exchanges, and prepare project reports/deliverables. /liliPerform excellent research according to the high standards of the lab and IRB Barcelona. /li /ulh3Qualifications /h3ulliPhD in Biomedicine, Biomedical Informatics, or related field. /liliMSci in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or similar. /liliExperience in cancer genomics. /liliHands‑on experience with machine learning and large language model‑based agentic systems. /liliDeep expertise with programming languages such as Python or R. /liliDemonstrated ability to design and conduct computational analyses independently. /liliExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively. /liliStrong organizational and multitasking skills. /liliAttention to detail and accuracy.
