ppThe Senior Accounting Manager within the Accounting Center of Excellence (CoE) will be responsible for leading the accounting operations of specific business units and activities. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The idóneo candidate will have extensive accounting experience, strong leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. /p h3Team Leadership /h3 ul liLead, mentor, and develop a team of 10 - 20 people in various roles between accounting managers, supervisors/seniors and accountants, across multiple sites and locations, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. /li liConduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, set goals and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. /li liPlan and manage team workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks. /li liFacilitate knowledge sharing and cross‑training within the team. /li liCollaborate with other CoE leadership to drive standardization and process enhancements across the organization. /li /ul h3Close Effectiveness /h3 ul liOversee the accounting close process across the financial statements and supplemental data gathering for all relevant sites, ensuring data is accurate and OneStream submission and controls deadlines are met effectively and consistently. /li liSupport team in performing Monthly Balance Sheet reviews and working with the business and SSC (Shared Service Centre) to ensure compliance with US GAAP and JBT Marel standards.
/li liActively lead and participate in the effort of the team to investigate and resolve accounting issues effectively and timely. /li liEnsure integrity and reliability of all financial transactions and that they are in accordance with US GAAP and JBT Marel standards, including compliance with SOX. /li liOversee the proper execution of internal, external and tax audits both for US GAAP and Statutory and holding the team accountable to timely submission of requests, timely responses to questions and follow‑up, and leading the team in defining and executing remediation efforts. /li liEnsure timely reporting of financial statements as well as other regional reporting requirements. /li /ul h3Process Improvement Strategy /h3 ul liPro‑actively participate in strategic initiatives and identifying opportunities for standardization and optimization across the close and reporting processes, including developing project plans, coordinating cross‑functionally and leading the team in executing the projects to successful completion. /li liEncourage the team to create and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness across the close and reporting processes. /li liLeverage technology and automation tools to streamline accounting operations. /li liLead the efforts to implement and maintain accounting software and ERP systems.
/li /ul h3Education /h3 ul liBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. /li liProfessional certification (ACCA or CPA) is highly desirable. /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul liMinimum of 10 years of accounting/auditing experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liStrong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. /li liProficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDE, SL9, LN). /li liSolid understanding of European VAT compliance and tax filings. /li liStrong experience ensuring Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance required. /li liExcellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. /li liExceptional communication and interpersonal skills. /li liAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. /li liStrong change‑management skills and ability to lead and drive change. /li liProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 pSalary will be dependent on candidate location and profile i.e. country of residence - details relating to the amount of holiday including bank holidays, healthcare benefits, pension will be shared directly with applicants. /p h3Equal Opportunity Employer /h3 pJBT Marel is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
