Position Summary
We are looking for a Payroll Project Coordinator with deep knowledge of Spanish labor regulations and Social Security, full mastery of the end‑to‑end payroll process, and proven experience in the implementation or migration of payroll systems. We need someone with fluent English , strong analytical skills, and a mindset focused on detail and continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities

- Manage the full payroll cycle for employees in Spain, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance.
- Correctly interpretation and application of labor legislation, collective bargaining agreements, income tax (IRPF), social security contributions, and Social Security regulations.
- Actively participate in the implementation, migration, or upgrade of a new payroll system , collaborating with HR, IT, Finance, and the Project Team.
- Perform functional testing (UAT), validations, and issue resolution during the implementation project.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement .
Language & Cultural Competency

- Fluent English (B2–C1), able to communicate effectively with international teams. English proficiency will be assessed during the recruitment process
- Ability to communicate effectively across cultures and adapt communication for regional differences
Experience Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience managing Spanish payroll.
- Solid knowledge of:
- Social Security
- IRPF and taxation
- Management of incidents, absences, payroll variables, and termination settlements
- Demonstrable experience in coordinating implementations of payroll system or migration projects (e.G., Meta4, SAP HCM, Sage, A3, Workday, etc.). Task monitoring, proactive coordination and collaboration with the different departments involved.
- Strong command of Excel and HR management tools.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong quality orientation.
