Overview

Experteer Overview: In this role you will own the accounting, statutory, and tax compliance for EPAM’s local Spanish entity from Madrid. You will maintain accounting rigor under Spanish GAAP and US-GAAP, while coordinating with the General SSC for accurate reporting. You’ll oversee VAT and CIT tax obligations, monthly closings, reconciliations, and statutory audits, ensuring timely regulatory submissions. This position combines hands-on accounting with stakeholder collaboration in a fast-paced, international environment.

Responsibilities

- Maintain accounting framework and internal controls under Spanish GAAP and US-GAAP
- Coordinate monthly close with Country Controller and SSC to ensure accurate Trial Balance
- Perform monthly account reconciliations per policy and SOX requirements
- Manage VAT and Corporate Income Tax compliance and filings




- Oversee statutory audit process and provide quality information to auditors
- Support statutory-to-US-GAAP reconciliations and internal bridges
- Respond to tax authority inquiries and assist with tax audits
- Support M&A; integration activities and other ad-hoc finance issues

- Experience in accounting under local and US GAAP

- SAP proficiency
