ph3Position Summary /h3 pThis position is responsible for supporting the purchasing and procurement process by creating and issuing purchase orders for materials, parts, and services, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely fulfillment. The Buyer will monitor open orders, confirm lead times, follow up on late shipments, and escalat(e) supply issues to help prevent production delays and reduce disruptions. This role works closely with internal teams such as production, engineering, and quality to align purchasing needs and maintain accurate procurement records in the ERP (Epicor) system. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organization, professional communication, and a willingness to learn procurement fundamentals in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. /p h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 h3Education /h3 ul liHigh school diploma or GED required /li liAssociate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field) /li /ul h3Experience /h3 ul li0–3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, or administrative support preferred /li liExperience in a manufacturing environment preferred /li liElectronics component purchasing experience strongly preferred (ex: connectors, cable assemblies, wire, harness components) /li /ul h3Knowledge /h3 ul liBasic understanding of purchasing, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred /li liFamiliarity with purchase orders, invoices, and vendor communication is a plus /li /ul h3Skills /h3 ul liStrong attention to detail and accuracy /li liStrong written and verbal communication skills /li liProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook /li liAbility to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines /li liAbility to work cross-functional with internal teams /li liExperience with an ERP system (Epicor)
