As a Data Engineer in our Madrid Digital Services team, you will design, build, and operate an enterprise-grade reporting and analytics capability. You will create scalable data pipelines and curated models across multiple systems, establishing master data foundations on platforms like Microsoft Fabric or Databricks and enabling trusted reporting via Power BI. You’ll support a cost-management initiative with governed data solutions and collaborate with finance and operations to translate requirements into measurable business outcomes. This role offers autonomy, technical leadership, and impactful work driving data-driven decision making.
Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of a reporting platform ingesting data from multiple internal systems into Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or equivalent cloud data platform
• Design and maintain batch data pipelines using ELT/ETL patterns and orchestration frameworks
• Develop and govern master and reference data structures to support consistent business definitions and reporting quality
• Profile, cleanse, transform, and validate source data; implement data quality controls and auditability
• Apply data modelling to build reusable lakehouse/warehouse/semantic models optimized for reporting
• Evaluate and implement AI-assisted approaches for data classification, anomaly detection, or metadata enrichment
• Design and deliver Power BI datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports with security and performance tuning
• Own the technical delivery of a cost management data solution including cost-rate database design and ingestion workflows
• Partner with finance, operations, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data products
• Establish DevOps and platform operations practices (monitoring, release management, documentation)
• Define and enforce standards for data governance, metadata, lineage, access control, privacy, retention
• Provide technical leadership with autonomy across architecture, build, testing, deployment, and run-state support
Responsabilidades
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or enterprise reporting platform delivery
• Strong delivery experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Microsoft Purview, Databricks, or equivalent cloud data technologies
• Advanced SQL and Python; experience with Spark/PySpark and data transformation frameworks desirable
• Expertise in dimensional modelling, semantic layer design, data warehousing, xqbhyrx and master data management
• Experience building Power BI data models, governance, deployment pipelines, and executive reporting
• Experience integrating data from ERP, finance, project, procurement, HR, CRM, via APIs, files, databases, or event-driven interfaces
• Solid understanding of data quality frameworks, testing strategies, reconciliation controls, and production support
• Experience designing secure, maintainable data platforms with access policies and compliance controls
• Ability to operate autonomously, prioritise, and engage with technical and senior stakeholders
• Excellent spoken and written English and Spanish
