ph3Description /h3 pYou will be part of the Commercial Strategy Implementation department, whose role is to professionalise and implement strategic initiatives across the commercial organisation. Within the Commercial Digitalisation team, you will support the business by maintaining, improving and driving the use of the digital tools provided by the department. This is a highly operational role that combines hands‑on support with longer‑term development work. You will work closely with bunker masters, captains and shore‑based commercial teams to ensure that the tools they rely on are functioning properly and are used effectively. You will also be expected to identify opportunities to improve existing processes, suggest new digital solutions and contribute to the ongoing development of our systems and reporting capabilities. /p pbDepartment: /b Supply Tradingbr/bLocation: /b Gibraltar /p h3Main Responsibilities /h3 ul liAct as the first point of contact for bunker masters, captains and shore‑based teams when they face issues with IT equipment, software or digital tools. /li liProvide practical day‑to‑day support to barge operations, ensuring that users receive quick and effective assistance. /li liWork closely with the IT department to ensure that the right equipment, software and connectivity are available for our barges at the right time and place. /li liSupport the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the department’s digital tools. /li liHelp drive adoption and usage of new systems and digital processes across the commercial organisation. /li liIdentify inefficiencies in existing workflows and suggest practical digital solutions to improve them. /li liParticipate in cross‑functional projects involving commercial, operational and support teams. /li liAssist with the creation,
development and maintenance of reporting tools, dashboards and databases. /li liContribute to the development of new tools and solutions, including Excel‑based systems, databases and automation opportunities. /li liSupport the department in monitoring and measuring the impact of digitalisation initiatives. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills and Experience /h3 ul liWe are looking for a candidate with either a formal IT background or degree, or operational experience from working on board vessels, combined with a strong interest in technology and digital solutions. /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in a simple and practical way to seafarers, captains and operational staff. /li liA hands‑on, service‑minded attitude with the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively. /li liStrong analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail. /li liExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables and general spreadsheet‑based problem solving. /li liExperience with reporting, data visualisation and dashboarding tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage. /li liAn understanding of databases and data structures would be beneficial, particularly experience with SQL. /li liInterest or experience in automation, tool development, low‑code/no‑code solutions or AI‑supported development methods such as vibe coding would be an advantage. /li liFluent in English, both written and spoken. /li liA proactive, can‑do attitude with a willingness to learn and continuously improve processes and tools. /li liEnthusiasm for digitalisation, process improvement and helping users get the most out of technology. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
