In this role, you will lead tunnelling design and supervision for rock and soil environments, driving ground engineering across national and international projects. You’ll mentor junior engineers and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver underground infrastructure, including tunnels, shafts, and stations. You’ll leverage deep geotechnical analysis and a range of construction methods to solve complex challenges. This position offers global collaboration, technical growth, and meaningful impact on transport infrastructure.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead design and supervision of tunnel projects (rock/soil) with drawings and specs
• Work with construction methods: TBM, NATM, SCL
• Design/oversee underground structures: cut-and-cover tunnels, shafts, underground stations
• Perform tunnelling support system calculations and produce detailed drawings
• Coordinate technical challenges during project development and guide the team and clients
• Support tunnelling in urban environments
• Mentor junior engineers and foster their development
• Analyze geotechnical data for ground characterization, risk assessment, and calculations
• Lead bid preparation from tunnelling perspective (technical and budget)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across geographies to ensure high-quality delivery
Responsabilidades
• Master’s degree in Civil, Geological, or Mining Engineering
• 8-10 years of tunnelling experience
• Geotechnical experience valued
• Fluency in Spanish and English (oral and written)
• Geotechnical xqbhyrx software for tunnels design (PLAXIS 2D/3D, RS2, Roc Support)
• Strong knowledge of Spanish codes and international standards (AASHTO, ACI, ASTM, Eurocodes, SBC)
• International project experience valued
• Strong communication skills
• Commitment to continuous learning in geotechnical/tunnelling engineering
• Team-oriented in diverse, technically demanding settings
