Role Summary

At ING we are looking for a Sales Coaching Expert to join our Branches Strategy Team. The role focuses on supporting 29 branches to achieve their targets, embedding a data‑driven, execution‑focused culture, and ensuring continuous performance improvement through regular on‑site visits.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network performance acceleration
- Drive commercial performance across the 29 branches, ensuring a clear focus on priorities, KPIs and conversion.
- Identify and close performance gaps between branches.
- Establish regular performance reviews with Area Leads, ensuring follow‑up on action plans and accountability for results.

- Best practices & model standardization

- Identify, structure and scale best practices across branches.
- Ensure that what works in top‑performing branches is replicated across the network.
- Reduce performance dispersion by standardizing ways of working and scaling best practices.

- Data‑driven insights & decision making

- Ensure consistent follow‑up on commercial initiatives, identifying execution gaps and taking corrective actions.
- Translate insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for Area Leads and branch teams.
- Promote a culture where decisions are based on facts and measurable impact.
- Ensure that all commercial and management initiatives align with established procedures, policies and risk frameworks, proactively identifying and mitigating potential financial and non‑financial risks.

- Coaching & capability building

- Strengthen commercial capabilities (customer management, pipeline, prioritization, closing).
- Embed a results‑driven mindset, balancing quantitative KPIs with the quality of customer interactions.
- Act as the bridge between strategy and frontline execution, ensuring initiatives translate into tangible results.





- Continuous improvement & transformation

- Contribute to the evolution of the commercial model, bringing field insights and improvement proposals.
- Participate in transformation initiatives impacting the branch network.
- Challenge the status quo to unlock performance and efficiency.

Qualifications
- Strong commercial acumen with proven experience in sales performance, coaching or branch management.
- High analytical capability, with the ability to translate data into action.
- Ability to influence without authority, working with Area Leads and senior stakeholders.
- Strong execution mindset: hands‑on, structured and focused on results.
- Proactive, building from scratch, connecting ideas and turning commercial strategy into concrete actions that drive change.
- Problem‑solving mindset, identifying barriers and proposing actionable solutions.
- Strong team player, willing to collaborate with different people, tribes and stakeholders.
- Passion for people development and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to land messages clearly across different audiences.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
