VHIR is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the
Neurodegenerative Diseases Research Group Main responsibilities and
duties: Participate as a Lab Technician in the research project
“Neuromelanin and PD: mechanisms and therapeutic perspectives”
Education and qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in
Biology, Biotechnology or similar. Proficiency in oral and written
English skills. Desirable: Fluency in Catalan and Spanish
Experience and knowledge: Required: At least 2 years of experience
working in the field of Neuroscience. Must have at least 2 year of
experience working with animal models and knowledge of animal
experimentation techniques (stereotaxic injection of
AdenoAssociatedViral Vectors (AAV), behavioural tests). Previous
experience processing animal samples (brain and tissue dissection,
tissue sectioning by cryostat and microtome). Experience and
knowledge of laboratory histological techniques (e.g. stereological
cell analysis, IHC, IF, confocal microscopy) and molecular
techniques (ELISA, WB). Experience in image acquisition for IHC and
IF samples. Experience in specific software for image and data
analysis (OlyVIA, Image J, GraphPad, QuPath, adobe Illustrator…).
Desirable: Previous knowledge in the field of neurodegenerative
diseases, specifically in Parkinson’s Disease. Expertise in
statistical methods to analyse and interpret data effectively.
Experience in developing Artificial intelligence algorithms for
neuronal and glial markers Experience with PCR techniques. Ability
to work in a teamwork-oriented environment Excellent communication
skills. Labour conditions: Working hours : Full-time (37,5 hours
per week). Starting date : As soon as possible. Gross annual salary
: €22,000.00 Contract type : Technical and scientific activities
