ph3About Teledyne /h3 pTeledyne Technologies Incorporated provides enabling technologies for industrial growth markets that require advanced technology and high reliability, including aerospace and defense, factory automation, environmental monitoring, electronics, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration, medical imaging, and pharmaceutical research. /p h3Job Description /h3 pThis role will lead the development, implementation, and management of processes, tools, and trainings relating to export compliance at the Teledyne FLIR Solutions site in Madrid, with additional support required at other Teledyne locations as needed. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liEnsure legal compliance and provide export support within government rules and regulations, including appropriate export licensing for Spain and other Teledyne locations. /li liDevelop, implement, enhance, and maintain trade compliance management systems, policies, department procedures, and work instructions. /li liServe as a Spanish and US export regulations expert and provide guidance to non‑US based business stakeholders. /li liImplement standard practices and training programs that align with corporate trade compliance program requirements. /li liSupport trade compliance internal and external audits at Solutions and Digital Imaging locations. /li liSupport GTC investigation team in reviews and corrective action management. /li liAct as a liaison between business functions including Contracts, Business Development, HR, and Engineering. /li liLead trade compliance‑related process improvement initiatives.
/li liMaintain effective relationships with business senior leadership and stakeholders and inform them of statutory or regulatory changes. /li liCoordinate with cross‑functional business groups to compliantly process international shipments according to the law and company policy. /li liCoordinate with customs team and guide business on customs issues including HS classification, valuation, carnets, and country of origin determination. /li liPrepare all required export documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. /li /ul h3Qualities and Experience /h3 ul liKnowledge of Spanish, EU US Export Laws and Regulations. /li liStrong computer skills with SAP (GTS module), Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; SharePoint experience beneficial. /li liExperience with auditing for implementation of trade compliance initiatives. /li liExperience collecting and analyzing data and preparing concise, timely reports. /li liAbility to distill and communicate complex legal or technical issues into clear, understandable language. /li liKnowledge of industry practices. /li liExperience solving complex problems using collaborative techniques. /li liBachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent education and experience). /li liProven direct experience with International Trade Regulations and/or Compliance. /li liSpanish citizenship or citizenship of an EU‑member country.
/li /ul h3Key Skills and Competencies /h3 ul liStrong leadership skills; previous program or project management experience highly desired. /li liExperience in a high‑tech, defence, or aerospace firm with large shipment volume and licensing. /li liExpertise in end‑use/end‑user assurance requirements and procedures in various national jurisdictions, including the EU and the United States. /li liExtensive experience dealing with Spanish military and EU Dual‑Use products and multilateral control regimes. /li liWorking knowledge of ITAR, EAR, OFAC Sanctions, and Anti‑Boycott requirements preferable. /li liKnowledge of customs requirements including HS classification, valuation, country of origin, and carnets. /li liExcellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. /li liWillingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertive. /li liAbility to serve as a resource to others in resolving complex problems and issues. /li liAbility to work effectively under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines; ability to make sound, timely business decisions. /li /ul h3Legal and Compliance Notice /h3 pThis position requires access to export‑controlled information or items.
