Our research focuses on the development of human-centered AI and robotic systems capable of adaptive, personalized, and socially aware interaction. Current research topics include socially assistive robotics, emotion-aware human-robot interaction, multimodal perception, adaptive dialogue systems, LLM-based interaction, and healthcare and well-being robotics.
The group provides access to an active research environment, robotic platforms, laboratory facilities, academic supervision, and integration into ongoing research activities and collaborations.
IMPORTANT FUNDING NOTE:
This is currently a non-funded hosting opportunity. The host group does not currently provide salary, stipend, tuition funding,
or an employment contract associated with this position. Candidates are expected to secure their own funding through external scholarships, government fellowships, institutional sponsorship, industrial support, or self-funding mechanisms.
Candidates with a strong academic background and interest in pursuing competitive international or national PhD funding schemes are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants should ideally have previous experience in robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, programming (Python/C++), or human-robot interaction.
