This role combines hands‑on security engineering with close collaboration across engineering, product, and customer‑facing teams—adecuado for someone who thrives at the intersection of security, software, and real‑world impact. You will work directly with engineering teams to design secure AWS architectures, build scalable security tooling, and embed security into the development lifecycle. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping teams navigate challenges from infrastructure hardening to application security and threat modeling. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Spain or another European Union country without company‑sponsored visa support (e.g., holders of a valid Residency and Work Visa or Permanent Resident status). /p h3Role and Responsibilities /h3 pbSecurity Engineering /b /p ul liPartner closely with engineering teams to design secure, scalable AWS architectures and services.
/li liWork directly with customers and internal stakeholders on real‑world deployment scenarios across AWS and other cloud environments, designing and implementing secure solutions tailored to their infrastructure. /li liAct as a trusted security advisor throughout the software development lifecycle—from design to deployment. /li liLead threat modeling exercises for applications and infrastructure, identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies. /li liCollaborate with developers to implement secure coding practices and application security controls. /li liDesign, build, and operate cloud‑native security infrastructure across AWS environments. /li liDevelop automated security controls, detection mechanisms, and response capabilities. /li liBuild and maintain Infrastructure-as‑Code (Terraform or AWS CDK) to enforce secure configurations at scale. /li liDefine and implement systems that generate high‑quality security signals for threat detection and response. /li liOwn security problems end‑to‑end, from identifying gaps to delivering production‑ready solutions. /li liContribute to DevSecOps practices by integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows. /li liContinuously improve security standards, engineering practices, and system reliability. /li /ul pbSecurity Strategy Enablement /b /p ul liServe as the voice of security across engineering, translating risks into actionable engineering work. /li liDrive improvements in cloud security posture, including identity, network, and data protection. /li liEducate and mentor engineers on secure design principles, threat modeling, and cloud security best practices. /li liHelp shape the security roadmap by leveraging insights from real‑world engineering challenges. /li /ul h3Professional Qualifications /h3 ul li5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or security engineering. /li liStrong programming skills,
with proficiency in Python. /li liHands‑on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and security. /li liExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, or similar). /li liProof of conducting threat modeling and working on application security. /li liExperience implementing DevSecOps practices and securing CI/CD pipelines. /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills. /li liAbility to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, distributed environment with minimal supervision. /li liComfortable working independently across time zones, with the majority of the team based in the United States. /li liBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. /li /ul pbTechnical Qualifications /b /p ul liDeep experience with AWS services (IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.). /li liExperience building security tooling, automation, and detection systems. /li liFamiliarity with logging, monitoring, and security analytics platforms. /li liExperience designing secure distributed systems and APIs. /li liKnowledge of modern application security practices. /li /ul pbPersonal Characteristics /b /p ul liPassionate about building secure systems and solving complex problems. /li liStrong sense of ownership and accountability. /li liComfortable collaborating across teams. /li liThrives in an agile, fast‑paced environment. /li /ul pBy submitting an application for this role, you certify that the information contained in the application is correct to the best of your knowledge.
