As an Engineering Director, you will plan, organize, and direct our software engineering teams, using a clear, hands-on approach to meet company objectives for product development and continued improvement of the data analytics platform. Your leadership will drive structure and growth for our Engineering CoE and improve Engineering processes and best practices. Your role will also involve significant influence over the company’s architectural direction and the technology roadmap.
/p pYou will also partner cross-functionally with our product and science teams to drive technology advancements contributing to increased scalability, reliability, and availability for Aetion’s platform. /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES: /h3 ul liHire and lead a motivated team of engineers with different skills such as backend or SRE/devops and guide them into an agile, continuous delivery, cloud-native mindset, providing coaching, training, and professional development. /li liCoordinate with Engineering Product leadership, including the SVP of Engineering and CTO on developing long-range plans for the Engineering group, including resource capacity planning and talent management. /li liProvide effective management and leadership to software development teams and senior/principal engineers including career development, mentoring, and performance management. /li /ul h3QUALIFICATIONS*: /h3 h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liA bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). /li li8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a significant focus on big data or complex analytical products. /li li2+ years of experience managing engineering teams. /li liProven experience in Java, Python, or Scala. /li liExperience designing and tuning technical architecture. /li liDepending on the role function, demonstrated experience building and scaling: /li liBig data ingestion platforms as well as cloud infrastructures tooling, or /li liHigh-performance application platform services and backend software. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience with Agile methodologies. /li liAbility to influence and motivate others to achieve results. /li liExperience within the healthcare technology or digital health industries. /li liAbility to identify complex problems and develop or influence solutions. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
