ppJob No: br/Work Type: Instructional Faculty – Temporary/Lecturerbr/Location: Fresno, California /p pCalStateTEACH is a multiple‑subject teacher preparation program offering asynchronous online academic work and site‑based clinical experiences. This position supports teacher candidates throughout their credential program with guidance, instruction, and assessment. /p h3Duties of the Position /h3 ul libTeaching/Advising /bbr/Interview candidates for program admission; advise candidates; develop and support a cohort as a learning community; guide candidates’ online learning through implementation of the CalStateTEACH curriculum; support candidates as they learn, practice and reflect on the Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs); provide helpful feedback regarding their progress toward meeting the TPEs; provide formative and summative assessment of classroom performance and required written work, including well‑designed formative assessments that resemble the pedagogical assessment tasks in the embedded Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA); make field placements to meet credential requirements and program regulations; supervise site‑based classroom instruction; serve as liaison to school‑site personnel; and participate in and assure the selection and support of site‑based mentor teachers. Responsibilities may also include supporting candidates who need CSET preparation, participating in the planning and delivery of regional seminars, and facilitating cohort meetings during Saturday seminars.



/li libProgram and Faculty Development /bbr/Attend all regular regional faculty meetings and CalStateTEACH statewide faculty meetings; serve on regional and statewide committee(s); contribute to the development and revision of curriculum to ensure program quality; achieve and maintain knowledge of CalTPA Tasks; become expert in the CalStateTEACH curriculum, delivery format, policies and procedures and online instruction; stay abreast of developing technologies employed in the CalStateTEACH and develop skills to use them; and become qualified to administer the required program interview. /li libOther Related Activities /bbr/Contact potential candidates; participate in recruitment/outreach activities, including job fairs and professional conferences; participate in local meetings, county offices and professional educational consortiums; and collaborate with local school districts in determining appropriate clinical placements. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in education or related field; /li liTeacher leadership or administrative experience in public schools with appropriate certification; /li liResidence in assigned sub‑region; /li liAbility to travel within subregion to candidates’ clinical placement; /li liUnderstanding of adult learning theory; /li liDemonstrated ability to teach, advise, supervise, and evaluate candidates from diverse educational, cultural,



and work backgrounds; /li liCommitment to independent student‑centered learning; /li liOrganized and systematic approach to work; /li liDemonstrated ability to work successfully in a team as well as to make independent judgments; /li liGood written and oral communication skills; /li liCommitment to personal and professional lifelong learning; /li liWillingness to be available and accessible to candidates; /li liAccess at home to Internet services with a download rate of at least 1.5 megabytes per second sufficient to complete all faculty tasks for CalStateTEACH. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liExperience supervising elementary school teachers and teaching in classrooms with English learners; expertise in technology and online delivery systems is highly valued. /li /ul h3Salary Range /h3 pCommensurate with experience within ranks established by the CSU Salary Schedule (Class Code 2458). For Temporary Faculty with a Master’s degree: $5,507–6,677 per month (15 WTUs). Presente monthly salary will be adjusted based on WTUs assigned. /p h3Additional Information /h3 pTemporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to university policies as directed by Academic Policy Manual 306.
