ph3Who are we? /h3pMiMIAT Health has developed a bpatient-controlled longitudinal health record /b that makes bdisease evolution visible /band enables bdata continuity across fragmented care settings /b for multidisciplinary teams managing bhard-to-diagnose diseases /b. /ppOur work has been recognised through bPRECISEU Best Practice Recognition, AstraZeneca ACCIÓN, Google for Startups for Sustainable Development and NVIDIA Inception /b. We are also part of bCOST Action CA24114 /b, focused on blood, tissues and cells as starting materials for advanced therapies. /ppMiMIAT is now developing bMimi, a multilingual voice AI layer built on top of its patient-controlled longitudinal health record /b. Rather than functioning as a symptom tracker or standalone chatbot, Mimi is intended to continuously reconstruct and interpret each patient’s disease trajectory across clinical records, biomarkers, medication history, treatment response, patient-reported data, connected devices and family history. /ppMimi will identify bmissing context, contradictions and changes that the current diagnosis or treatment may no longer explain /b, transforming fragmented information into structured, reviewable clinical intelligence for patients and multidisciplinary care teams. /ppbWhat are we looking for? /b /ppWe’re looking for an experiencedb Head of Engineering /b to lead MiMIAT’s technical evolution during its next stage of product development. /ppYou will work directly with the bFounder CEO and MiMIAT’s current technical contributors /b, taking ownership of the assessment of the existing platform, the definition of technical priorities and the architecture required for MiMIAT’s clinical-data and AI roadmap. /ppThe role combines bhands-on engineering leadership, system architecture and technical execution. /b You should be capable of strengthening an existing production environment while defining the foundations required for clinical-record processing, longitudinal patient intelligence and Mimi. /ppWe are specifically looking for someone who has already bbuilt and operated healthcare technology in production /b, understands the responsibilities involved in handling sensitive health data, and has practical experience translating AI capabilities into reliable products. /ppThe collaboration will begin at approximately b8 to 12 hours per week /b, managed flexibly around the person’s existing professional commitments. /ppbWhat will you do? /b /pullibReview MiMIAT’s current architecture /b across the patient application, clinician platform, backend services, databases, cloud infrastructure and external integrations. /lilibIdentify the most important technical risks, dependencies and scalability limitations /b affecting the current product. /lilibDefine a prioritised engineering roadmap /b covering platform stability, security, maintainability and future product development. /lilibLead architectural decisions /b across backend services, APIs, databases, authentication, permissions and sensitive health-data flows. /lilibDefine the technical foundations required for clinical-record ingestion,
document processing, structured information extraction and longitudinal patient context. /b /lilibDesign the initial architecture for Mimi /b, including multilingual voice interaction, contextual retrieval, structured outputs, model evaluation and human review. /lilibAssess and select appropriate AI models, APIs, infrastructure and external services /b, determining what MiMIAT should build internally and what should be integrated. /lilibEstablish practical engineering standards /b across code review, testing, deployment, monitoring, documentation and access management. /lilibProvide hands-on technical direction and code-review support /b to MiMIAT’s engineering contributors. /liliWork with clinical, behavioural-science, regulatory and privacy contributors to btranslate multidisciplinary requirements into executable technical decisions. /b /liliHelp identify future requirements across bengineering, AI, data, infrastructure and cybersecurity. /b /li /ulpbWho are you? /b /pulliYou have bat least 7 years of professional software-engineering experience /b, including substantial responsibility for backend systems, cloud infrastructure and production architecture. /liliYou have bat least 3 years of direct experience in digital health, HealthTech, MedTech, clinical software or another regulated healthcare environment. /b /liliYou have personally bbuilt, shipped or materially led at least one healthcare product operating in a live production environment /b and used by patients, clinicians, researchers or healthcare organisations. /liliYou have bat least 2 years of experience in technical leadership, system architecture or engineering ownership /b, with responsibility for making and defending system-level decisions. /liliYou have bat least 1 year of practical experience designing, integrating or operating AI-enabled software in production /b, ideally involving LLMs, retrieval systems, clinical-document processing, structured information extraction, conversational AI or voice technologies. /liliYou remain btechnically hands-on /b and are comfortable reviewing code, examining infrastructure, diagnosing failures and contributing directly where required. /liliYou have strong experience building and maintaining bbackend services, APIs, databases, authentication, authorisation and secure data-access systems. /b /liliYou have professional experience with bTypeScript or JavaScript and Node.js /b, or extensive experience in a closely comparable backend stack. /liliYou have bat least 3 years of experience operating cloud-based production systems /b, using AWS or another major cloud platform across deployment, access controls, monitoring and reliability.
/liliYou understand the engineering requirements involved in handling bsensitive healthcare data /b, including privacy-by-design, permissions, traceability, data integrity and secure processing. /liliYou have led, mentored or provided technical direction to engineers and can establish clear standards across bcode review, testing, deployment and documentation. /b /liliYou can make pragmatic decisions in an early-stage environment, distinguishing bcritical technical risks from debt that can responsibly be deferred. /b /liliYou communicate architectural decisions, risks and trade-offs clearly across bengineering, clinical, product, regulatory and non-technical stakeholders. /b /liliYou can sustain approximately b8 to 12 hours per week during the initial phase /b, with proactive communication around progress, availability and blockers. /lilibBonus points /b if you have experience with bAI-enabled clinical products, multilingual voice systems, clinical-document intelligence, React Native, Expo, Next.js, MongoDB, FHIR, HL7, SaMD, EU MDR, ISO 27001 or ISO 13485. /b /li /ulpbBenefits /b /pulliYou will work directly with the bFounder CEO /b and have meaningful influence over MiMIAT’s technical architecture, engineering roadmap and AI direction. /liliYou will contribute to blive patient and clinician-facing products /b, rather than an idea-stage project or isolated prototype. /liliYou will help shape bMimi from its earliest technical stage /b, including the data, voice, AI and evaluation infrastructure required for its development. /liliYou will work alongside contributors across bengineering, clinical care, behavioural science, regulatory affairs and health data privacy. /b /liliYou will join a mission-driven HealthTech company recognised through bPRECISEU, AstraZeneca ACCIÓN, Google for Startups for Sustainable Development and NVIDIA Inception. /b /lilibCurrent phase: /b The collaboration will begin on an bunpaid/pro-bono basis at approximately 8 to 12 hours per week /b, with a formal mutual-fit review after the first six weeks. During this phase, both sides will work against bclearly agreed technical priorities, deliverables and milestones /b to assess technical capability, consistency, communication, leadership and fit with MiMIAT’s team and current stage. /lilibPotential evolution: /b Where there is bstrong mutual fit, demonstrated capability and consistent delivery against agreed milestones /b, the role may progressively expand in bscope, weekly commitment and executive responsibility /b. Subject to MiMIAT reaching defined bproduct, commercial and financing milestones /b, this could include a transition towards a bpaid part-time or full-time Head of Engineering role /b, together with a potential longer-term executive or equity structure. Any expanded arrangement would be negotiated and documented separately in writing before it begins. /li /ulpbHow to apply /b /ppAt this stage we are removing application instructions per formatting rules. We invite you to review the requirements and consider whether you meet the qualifications described above. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
