Proactively responds to customer issues and complaints. Models desired behaviors of front-end partners, ensures front of store remains clean and presentable, and promotes customer service. /p h3Essential Duties And Responsibilities /h3 ul liWorks in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners, schedule, plan, assign, and direct work. /li liAssists in training cashiers and courtesy/utility clerks on policies and procedures related to customer service, produce codes, cash handling/tender procedures, use of scanners and bagging protocol. /li liEnsures Company regulations and standards for freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation are met within front end of store operations. /li liProvides checkout services, as well as bags and transports customer groceries as needed. Ensures correct checkout totals for customers by properly weighing, keying, and scanning items. Maintains accurate money count in register at all times. /li liMonitors parking lot cleanliness and assists with customer flow on the front end.



/li liMonitors and manages potential front-end shrink including monitoring partner purchases and bottom of basket. /li liProvides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. /li liMaintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. /li /ul h3Knowledge, Skills And Abilities /h3 ul liAdvanced knowledge of cash register. /li liIntermediate knowledge of store operations. /li liIntermediate understanding of Company checkout policies and procedures. /li liIntermediate knowledge and compliance of state laws regarding the sale of alcohol, tobacco, and lottery, as applicable. /li liIntermediate knowledge of anti-money laundering and other government regulations relating to monetary transactions. /li liBasic knowledge of on-site fuel station procedures, if applicable. /li liBasic mathematical skills. /li liStrong organizational and time management skills. /li liAbility to effectively communicate (in written and verbal form) with customers and partners. /li liAbility to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times. /li liAbility to lead and motivate others. /li liAbility to carry out short term strategic objectives aligned with Company initiatives. /li liMust be detail oriented. /li liAbility to evaluate partner performance and make corrections as needed, in a tactful manner. /li liAbility to learn new technology systems, methods, and processes. /li liAbility to perform basic Microsoft Office functions. /li liAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. /li liAbility to work safely with sharp objects such as knives, box cutters, etc. /li liAbility to use precision and non-precision hand tools. /li liAbility to maintain high levels of confidentiality regarding sensitive information. /li liAbility to work versátil schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
