We're looking for someone who wants to define how enterprise AI should be architected, deployed and scaled across a global organisation. /p h3Why this opportunity? /h3 ul liBuild the company's enterprise AI capabilities from the ground up, defining the technical roadmap for AI across an international FMCG Group. /li liInfluence strategic technology decisions with direct visibility to senior leadership. /li liWork on high-impact initiatives spanning Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Corporate Functions. /li liJoin a newly created Digital Innovation team with the freedom to build, experiment and shape the future. /li /ul h3The Role /h3 pAs the Senior AI Engineer, you will become the technical reference for Artificial Intelligence within the Digital Innovation team. Rather than joining an existing AI platform, you will help define and build it from the ground up - translating the Group's AI vision into a scalable technical roadmap: architecture, platforms, infrastructure and engineering principles that enable AI adoption across all business functions. /p pThis is a highly visible role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, for someone who enjoys building from scratch, influencing technical decisions, and turning emerging AI capabilities into scalable enterprise solutions that will shape how AI is deployed across the organisation for years to come. /p h3a) AI Innovation Technology Scouting /h3 ul liContinuously scout the AI landscape for emerging technologies, models and platforms, proactively identifying innovations with the potential to create business value. /li liRun rapid experiments and proof-of-concepts to validate new AI capabilities before wider adoption. /li liIdentify opportunities where AI and automation can redesign existing business processes and improve operational efficiency. /li liStay ahead of industry trends, bringing new ideas and practical applications into the organisation. /li /ul h3b)
AI Architecture Platform Strategy /h3 ul liDefine and evolve the long-term technical roadmap and architecture for AI across the Group, translating business priorities into scalable AI platforms. /li liDesign enterprise AI solutions, including agentic systems, orchestration frameworks and the underlying AI infrastructure. /li liEvaluate AI platforms, LLM providers, orchestration frameworks and emerging technologies against scalability, performance and long-term operating cost. /li liDetermine when to build internally versus leverage external AI platforms or implementation partners. /li liEstablish engineering principles that enable AI solutions to scale efficiently, securely and sustainably. /li liPartner with IT, Data, Cybersecurity and Business teams to ensure AI capabilities are built on robust technical foundations. /li liLead the technical evaluation of AI vendors and implementation partners, defining evaluation criteria during platform selection processes. /li liReview technical architectures, integrations and vendor deliverables to ensure quality and long-term scalability. /li liCoordinate multidisciplinary teams - engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity and business stakeholders - providing technical leadership throughout AI initiatives, from technical design through deployment. /li /ul h3d) AI Adoption /h3 ul liPartner with the AI User Experience Academy Manager to provide technical expertise, working examples and reference architectures that accelerate AI adoption across the organisation. /li liSupport internal teams by translating complex AI concepts into practical and accessible solutions. /li /ul h3e) AI Governance Platform Performance /h3 ul liEnsure AI solutions align with the company's security, architecture and technology principles. /li liEmbed privacy, ethics and regulatory considerations into every AI engagement, from design through deployment. /li liMonitor platform performance, scalability and operational costs, continuously identifying optimisation opportunities. /li /ul h3a) Experience /h3 ul liProven experience as an AI Engineer, AI Architect, Machine Learning Engineer or Technical AI Specialist — someone who has personally built and shipped AI-powered solutions, not only defined requirements for others to build. /li liHands-on experience developing AI applications using APIs and modern LLM technologies.
/li liExperience designing or deploying agentic AI solutions and AI-enabled business applications. /li liExperience evaluating technical solutions delivered by vendors or external development teams. /li liPrevious experience in AI engineering environments within large, complex organisations will be highly valued. /li /ul h3b) Skills Capabilities /h3 ul liFirst-hand, applied experience developing and maintaining agentic AI systems, multi-agent architectures and LLM-based tools where appropriate - not only defining requirements for others to build. /li liSolid grounding in enterprise AI architecture - knowledge/data layers, RAG pipelines, vector databases, agent orchestration frameworks and tool-integration protocols - with the technical judgment to select the right combination for each business need, independent of any specific vendor or tool. /li liExperience evaluating and selecting AI platforms and LLM providers against scalability, performance, security and total cost of ownership. /li liTrack record defining build-vs-buy criteria and leading technical evaluation of AI vendors and implementation partners. /li liWorking knowledge of cloud AI infrastructure (Azure, AWS or GCP) and how AI workloads integrate with existing data, IT and security architecture. /li liWorking knowledge of AI governance principles - privacy, ethics and regulatory compliance - and how to embed them throughout the AI lifecycle. /li /ul h3c) Personal Attributes /h3 ul liBuilder mentality with the ambition to create something from the ground up. /li liPassionate about Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies. /li liComfortable making technical decisions in environments with ambiguity. /li liAble to combine technical depth with business understanding. /li liCurious, pragmatic and continuously exploring new technologies. /li liEntrepreneurial, proactive and highly autonomous. /li liCollaborative team player who enjoys influencing without formal authority. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liThe opportunity to build and shape the AI capabilities of an international FMCG Group from the ground up, with a highly visible role and direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic decision-making. /li liCareer development opportunities within a leading international group. /li liA modern, multicultural and collaborative working environment. /li liFlexible working hours, including Friday afternoons free. /li liModern offices in Barcelona with an onsite restaurant and gym. /li liPension Plan. /li liParking (80% subsidised by the company). /li liDiscounts on company products. /li liCompetitive compensation package including a fixed salary, annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
