Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed. /p pOur mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution. /p pThis will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design. /p h3The Role /h3 pWe are looking for a bSenior Automation Engineer /b with solid, hands‑on experience in bBeckhoff automation technology /b to design, develop, and maintain the control systems of our battery and vehicle production lines. You will own the automation architecture of production equipment end to end – from PLC software and motion control to safety, HMI, and data connectivity – and act as the technical reference for Beckhoff‑based systems across the plant. /p h3What You’ll Do /h3 ul liDesign, program, and commission control systems based on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 (Structured Text / IEC 61131-3), including software architecture, libraries, and coding standards. /li liConfigure and troubleshoot EtherCAT networks, Beckhoff IPCs (CX / C60xx series), and EtherCAT I/O terminals. /li liDevelop and tune motion control applications (TwinCAT NC/PTP, drives, servo axes) for assembly, handling, and dispensing stations. /li liImplement and validate functional safety with TwinSAFE (safety logic, safe I/O, risk assessment support per ISO 13849). /li liDesign and maintain HMIs (TwinCAT HMI or equivalent) with clear alarm handling and operator guidance. /li liIntegrate stations with plant IT systems: MES connectivity, traceability, data acquisition via ADS / OPC UA / MQTT.
/li liLead automation scope in new line installations: URS/FDS definition, supplier follow‑up, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and ramp‑up. /li liDebug and resolve complex automation issues in production; support root cause analysis with Process Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality. /li liOwn the backup management of all line equipment: PLC programs, HMI projects, drive/servo parameters, vision system configurations, and IPC images – including versioning, scheduled backups, and recovery procedures. /li liStandardize and document automation solutions (software templates, electrical interfaces, naming conventions). /li liMentor junior engineers and technicians; review third‑party integrator code for compliance with plant standards. /li liDrive continuous improvement: cycle time optimization, downtime reduction, predictive data collection (TwinCAT Scope, Analytics). /li /ul h3What you will bring to Stark /h3 ul liBachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience. /li li5+ years of experience in industrial automation, with solid hands‑on expertise in Beckhoff systems: TwinCAT 3, EtherCAT, Beckhoff IPC hardware, and I/O. /li liStrong PLC programming skills in Structured Text (IEC 61131-3), including object‑oriented extensions, function block design, and library development. /li liProven experience with motion control (servo drives, axis commissioning, camming/gearing) in production machinery. /li liExperience with machine safety implementation (TwinSAFE or equivalent) and safety standards (ISO 13849 / IEC 62061). /li liExperience integrating PLCs with higher‑level systems (MES, SCADA, databases) via ADS, OPC UA, or similar protocols. /li liExperience integrating and configuring vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, or similar)
