We are inviting bexcellent postdoctoral researchers of any nationality /b who wish to apply for a bMarie Skłodowska‑Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship /b with Metapilot Academy as their host institution. /p pOur core focus is bneurotechnology /b, biotechnology, virtual reality and XR, with applications in computer science, aerospace, defense, mobility, robotics and space broadly defined, and we are especially interested in candidates whose work sits in, or strongly interfaces with, one or more of the following areas: /p ul liNeurotechnology and brain–computer interfaces /li liBiotech / bioengineering relevant to neural systems and human enhancement /li liElectrical, biomedical, or systems engineering /li liComputer science, AI, and machine learning (especially for neural data, XR, and simulations) /li liAerospace and human performance in extreme environments /li liVirtual and augmented reality, spatial computing, immersive interfaces /li liNeuromorphic computing, neuromorphic sensing, and cognitive architectures /li /ul pOur primary objective is to btrain and empower postdoctoral researchers in neurotechnology /b, while allowing projects to expand into adjacent domains such as biotech, engineering, computer science, aerospace, virtual reality, and neuromorphic computing when this creates substantial scientific and societal impact. /p h3What we offer /h3 ul libHost institution for your MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship /b /li liMetapilot Academy will act as your bEuropean host organisation /b in Barcelona for an bMSCA European Postdoctoral Fellowship /b.
/li liYou will bwrite and lead your own MSCA PF application /b; we provide institutional hosting, supervision in neurotechnology, and strategic feedback so that your proposal fits both MSCA criteria and our research directions. /li libHigh‑impact supervision and network /b /li liYour primary supervisor will be a bprofessor of neurotechnology /b, with experience spanning neuroscience, AI, and advanced human–machine interfaces. /li liMetapilot Academy has a network of bover 50,000 connections /b across top research centres, Ivy League and other leading universities, corporate technology leaders, and venture capital and investment funds. /li liWe are already on our bsecond cohort /b and have successfully bhelped fund students via our network /b, connecting talent with scholarships, grants, and private funding opportunities. /li libResearch environment in Barcelona and across Europe /b /li liA dynamic, interdisciplinary environment in central Barcelona, with strong ties to the local and European tech ecosystems. /li liWe can also bhost research stays in other EU cities /b and arrange bco‑supervision with selected European labs /b when this strengthens your project, subject to joint agreement and MSCA rules. /li libTraining and career development /b /li liProject‑specific training in neurotechnology, AI, XR, and related areas. /li liExposure to entrepreneurship and translational pathways, leveraging our connections to corporate partners and venture capital. /li liSupport for developing your independent research profile and long‑term career trajectory (academic, industry, or hybrid). /li /ul h3Candidate profile /h3 pWe are looking for boutstanding,
highly motivated researchers /b who meet the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships eligibility criteria and have a strong academic track record. In particular, you should: /p ul liHold a bPhD degree from a recognised, high‑quality university /b (in any country), in a field relevant to neurotechnology, biotech, engineering, computer science, neuroscience, physics, mathematics, aerospace, or related disciplines. /li liDemonstrate an bexcellent research record /b for your career stage, e.g. high‑quality publications, impactful software or hardware outputs, patents, open‑source contributions, or significant involvement in competitive research projects. /li liShow clear potential for bindependent thinking and leadership /b, with a convincing research vision that fits within and extends Metapilot Academy’s focus on neurotechnology and advanced technologies for human–machine systems. /li liHave excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative mindset; prior international and interdisciplinary experience is a strong advantage. /li /ul h3Nationality: /h3 pbNationality: /b Researchers of bany nationality /b are welcome.
