The company is based in Barcelona and aims to revolutionize remote sensing for environmental monitoring and resource management.br/Our vision is focused on a key sentence: “See the Unseen, protect what matters most on Earth” /p h3bWhat you will do: /b /h3 pAistech Space is looking for a Space Systems Engineer Manager to lead the Space Infrastructure Team in charge of designing, analysing, integrating and testing the new ENABLER payloads of our constellation and future satellites.br/Your role will be pivotal in leading and managing technically a heterogeneous team of engineers/scientists/sw developers to deliver the Hydra constellation into orbit and its ENABLER payloads, ensuring the best performance and producing high-quality imaging products and services. /p h3bThe main tasks are focussed on: /b /h3 ul liLead the Space Infrastructure department in all phases: design and analysis, integration, testing, launch and operations. /li liWork together with the SW infrastructure, SW/FW, Remote Sensing, Payloads and Operations teams focusing on timely delivery of ENABLER payloads and Hydra satellites. /li liLead RD proposals, bureaucratic paperwork, launch plans and a long list of activities to push the company forward in line with the Strategic team and working closely with the CTO. /li liBe part of the Business and Sales team negotiation when interfacing with clients/consortium teams/strategic team to understand their needs, transforming them into internal requirements/needs. /li liLead the Hydra constellation development from cradle to grave, guiding management and technical teams. /li liBe part of the negotiation team, working closely with our partners and suppliers, understanding their proposal and adjusting it to our objectives. /li liBe able to research for new technologies, create prototyping ideas, be proactive in pushing new technology, operational ideas,



calibration methods, system concepts, etc. /li liYou will also be responsible to follow internal standards and good practices in terms of project management, documentation and time management following an agile approach in your daily work and ensuring the team is also doing it. /li liWrite articles regarding different areas of interest to be published in our Aistech News magazine and on our website blog. /li liActively engage in the development of documentation to build out the company procedures and specification manuals. /li /ul h3Who you are: /h3 pMust: /p ul liBSc/MSc in Aerospace, Optics, Electronics, Telecommunications or relevant degree. /li liHave more than 7 years of experience in relevant Satellite/Payload Systems Enginnering experience developing missions from cradle to grave. /li liHave more than 3 years of experience in Team Management of heterogeneous teams in a relevant Space company. /li liOpen minded and extrovert, active learner and tolerant to criticism. /li liProven experience in a full cycle of a satellite and payload systems, from early phases until launch and operations, preferably optical (VNIR, SWIR, LWIR, etc) /li liStrong knowledge of payload technologies and satellite subsystems: power, comms, AOCS, propulsion, EO payloads, etc. /li liStrong knowledge of optical performance budgeting and optical geometric and radiometric calibration on-ground and in-orbit. /li liExperience leading a team technically to deliver a mission into orbit. /li liExperience in STK, GMAT, MATLAB/SIMULINK or similar simulation SW packages. /li liExperience on hardware design, specially on Solidworks (or similar).



/li liExperience on thermal design and FEM analysis of a payload and satellite system. /li liProven experience in manufacturing, integrating or testing of payloads or satellites platforms. /li liProven experience in payload and/or satellite verification engineering procedures / processes. /li liProven experience in ground support equipment for AIV testing (MGSE/EGSE). /li liProven experience in environmental testing of space hardware (vibration, acoustic, shock, thermal vacuum, EMC). /li liStrong knowledge developing code in Python. /li liStrong knowledge of Linux. /li liStrong knowledge of Agile methodologies. /li liFluent in English. /li /ul h3Nice to have: /h3 ul liExperience in any related projects with Thermal Payloads (MWIR, LWIR, etc). /li liKnowledge of open geospatial application standards and formats (e.g. OGC’s WMS, WMTS, API, etc. as well as STAC, COG, etc.). /li liKnowledge of containerized applications (e.g., Docker). /li liKnowledge of cloud architecture running imaging processing services. /li liKnowledge of imaging processing chains and imaging products. /li /ul h3Where you will be: /h3 pYou will be working on-site in the headquarters offices of Sant Cugat in Barcelona.
