And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. /ph3Key job responsibilities /h3pWhat you will be doing: /pulliData center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines to create a construction document set. /liliParticipating in site selection reviews and site planning activities /liliCritical Data Center equipment design including Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, MV:LV Transformers, Earthing. Life Safety and Fire Detection systems /liliDesign and collaborate with other disciplines to create a construction document set. /liliCreating of designs which meet or exceed our quality requirements and fall within our budgetary requirements. /liliWorking with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate electrical equipment. /liliWorking with local utilities to understand and define site utility requirements. /liliWorking with local agencies having jurisdiction to ensure compliance with IEC, EU requirements and building codes. /liliReviewing and approval of equipment submittals.



/liliDefining project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to, and during construction phases. /liliWorking with commissioning teams to properly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems. /liliAbility to work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions. /liliTraveling to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers, as well as provide engineering evaluations, electrical systems audits, and startup as needed. /liliBeing a leader within the global group as well as within internal and external teams that support Amazon’s data centers. /liliHaving fun and offering creative, out of the box solutions. /li /ulh3A day in the life /h3pAs an Electrical Engineer on our team, you'll focus on designing robust electrical distribution systems that keep our data centers running at world-class uptime. Your day might include developing design specifications, reviewing and marking up technical drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams on equipment qualifications, conducting site inspections, responding to design inquiries, and presenting your work to stakeholders. You'll move fluidly between desk-based design work and on-site activities, ensuring designs translate seamlessly from concept to construction.
