You will be supporting the operation of Arup’s cloud compute services in a global team that has responsibility for implementing and managing organisational wide, fit‑for‑purpose, cloud‑based infrastructure. including annual operational budget planning. /li liEngage in technical conversations with other technology teams, influencing prioritisation of cost optimisation and FinOps‑related initiatives. /li /ul h3Typical day /h3 ul liCollaborate with business and IT teams to define and manage financial management practices. /li liMonitor and optimise cloud costs through billing and invoice management, cost chargeback/showback, and utilisation tracking. /li liReporting progress on cloud financial management initiatives. /li liLead projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. /li liEngage in technical discussions, challenging decisions and influence. /li /ul h3Qualifications / Experience /h3 ul liDemonstrable experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their financial components (cost usage reports, reserved instances, savings plans, committed use discounts, enterprise discount programs, spot pricing, etc.). /li liProven experience establishing and operating cost optimisation initiatives across complex platform and cloud environments, focusing on key levers for financial efficiency. /li liExperience implementing cloud chargeback and/or showback mechanisms for business units or projects to ensure accountability for cloud usage and spend. /li liStrong skills in interrogating billing and usage data to create cost insights, reports, and dashboards across cloud, licence, partner, and operational budgets. /li liAdvanced data/financial analysis and reporting capabilities. /li liExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work with senior executives and drive outcomes with a can‑do attitude. /li /ul h3Benefits / what we offer /h3 pAt Arup, we care about each member’s success, so we can grow together.
