ph3Position Overview /h3 pIn this role, the CF-18 Operational Specialist (Pilot) will be responsible for providing technical, flight and operational expertise, guidance and oversight as part of the software development and testing activities and will act as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the Systems Engineering Support Contract (SESC) team supporting the Courseware production. The successful candidate will join the team who provides the CF-18 Operational Community with system engineering support for the CF-18 Prime Mission Vehicle (PMV) Operational Flight Program (OFP) and training development in Mirabel, Quebec. /p h3Description /h3 ul liProvide technical, flight, and operational expertise, guidance, and oversight as part of software development and testing activities. /li liAct as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Systems Engineering Support Contract (SESC) team supporting courseware production. /li liSupport the CF‑18 Operational Community with systems engineering for the CF‑18 Prime Mission Vehicle (PMV) Operational Flight Program (OFP) and training development in Mirabel. /li liDevelop and review software change requirements in collaboration with the customer. /li liCreate and maintain test plans and develop verification and validation test procedures. /li liPerform operational testing on avionics benches, integrated benches, full simulator, and presente aircraft; document and report anomalies. /li liReview system test plans and develop/maintain training and mission scenario test plans. /li liUse aircraft documentation to support software developers during integration activities. /li liTest synthetic training devices to ensure design and regulatory requirements are met within budget and schedule constraints. /li liSupport customer during onsite acceptance testing activities. /li liDevelop training solutions for identified avionic systems.



/li liDevelop standardized storyboard and lesson content with the Instructional System Designer. /li liSupport the courseware development process by ensuring content accuracy per the training plan, technical specifications, and procedures/checklists. /li liSupport the development of performance evaluations to validate student knowledge acquisition. /li liPerform first‑level quality assurance on courseware outputs to ensure technical and procedural accuracy and proper presentation. /li liCollaborate with the marketing team to provide inputs for potential customers and assist with bid and proposal estimates. /li liMaintain military and aviation publications. /li /ul h3Minimum Qualifications /h3 ul liRoyal Canadian Air Force Pilot or equivalent (Fast Jet). /li liTechnical experience as a fighter pilot (SME). /li liStrong computer aptitude and willingness to learn new software. /li liStrong interpersonal and communication skills. /li liStrong organizational and time‑management abilities. /li liProficiency with Microsoft Office. /li liExcellent English communication skills (written and spoken). /li liAbility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret clearance. /li liLegally permitted to work in Canada (Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit). /li liWillingness to work onsite in Mirabel, QC. /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor of Engineering or equivalent /li liAircrew instructor qualification (AIMB)
