It’s a highly collaborative environment where ideas become real hardware, software, and data solutions that deliver impact from space. /p h3Working in the Mission Operations Team /h3 pWorking across the full mission lifecycle, the Mission Operations team is responsible for safely operating our satellites once they are in orbit. From launch and early operations through routine service and end-of-life, the team monitors spacecraft health, executes critical activities, and responds quickly to anything unexpected. Working closely with flight software, systems and engineering teams, Mission Operations plays a central role in keeping every Open Cosmos mission safe, reliable and delivering value to our customers. /p h3What You’ll Be Doing /h3 pAutomation plays a critical role in how we operate satellites and test them at scale. As an Automation Engineer at Open Cosmos, you’ll help build the tools and frameworks that make our mission operations more reliable and our production testing more efficient.



/p pYou’ll be working on automation that supports the full mission lifecycle - from simulations and test campaigns on the ground to live spacecraft operations in orbit. You’ll work closely with mission operations, production, and engineering teams to embed automation into real workflows that matter. /p ul liBuilding and improving automation frameworks for mission operations and production testing /li liDeveloping tools for automated data processing, trend analysis, and reporting /li liDefining and applying best practices, standards, and documentation for automation systems /li liIntegrating automation into OpenSat, OpenApp, and OpenOPS platforms /li liProviding technical support during automation rollout into operations and test environments /li liCreating and supporting training materials for automation tools and workflows /li liTaking part in reviews of system updates, mission control changes, and automation opportunities /li liSupporting automated workflows during live missions and production test campaigns /li liDeveloping automation for routine and time-critical flight operations /li liImplementing automated procedures within the Mission Control System /li liImproving monitoring, anomaly detection,
