Full‑time, on‑site role. Mid‑level engineer focused on building AI applications that transform legal work.

Key purpose: Rethink how legal work gets done with AI, working hand‑in‑hand with lawyers and operations teams to create production‑ready solutions.

Responsibilities

- Design and build AI‑powered applications from prototype through production.
- Integrate and orchestrate LLMs and agents into real legal workflows (document generation, case triage, knowledge base, etc.).
- Collaborate with lawyers and operations teams to understand legal problems before proposing technical solutions.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous experimentation with AI and stay current on AI developments.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Real‑world experience building with coding agents (preferably Claude Code) and managing them in production projects.
- Experience with an agentic framework such as Mastra (TypeScript), PydanticAI, smolagents, CrewAI, or LangGraph (Python).
- Solid foundations in transactional architecture.
- Proficiency with modern frontend (ideally React) and backend (Node.js) stacks or equivalent.
- Hands‑on experience with LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, and modern AI frameworks/APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred).
- Product mindset:



prioritising user experience and rationale behind decisions.
- Culture of quality: useful tests, clear READMEs, reproducible deployment (Docker Compose).
- Clear communicator, able to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Proactive, self‑directed, independent, and hands‑on.
- Fluency in English an advantage.
- Experience with observability, agent tracing, and design of guardrails (confirmations, limits, DISCLAIMERS) is a plus.
