ph3Purpose of Position /h3 pAs a Senior DevOps Engineer within a cross-functional service-oriented team, you play a key role in bridging the gap between development and operations. Your focus is on ensuring smooth and efficient product delivery. You are responsible for enabling and supporting engineering teams excelling with their infrastructure. You establish and follow best-practice guidelines, your code is open by default and easy for others to reuse. You are part of a team and with the team extend, maintain and operate assigned parts of our platform. You can make a bigger impact in less time (e.g. efficiency in delivery, problem solving, etc.). You coach and mentor other colleagues, actively facilitate and participate in knowledge‑sharing activities both within your team and the wider Engineering and DevOps practice. You have a strong understanding of the user needs within your service and work with the product owner and other team members to translate these into technical solutions. You take a leading role through the entire lifecycle of a service or product, from understanding requirements, development to deployment, support and maintenance. You have your team's deadlines in mind, balance effort vs. outcome to find pragmatic solutions and are proactive in raising and mitigating risks. You will help the team in solving the challenges that arise as our business grows and develops; working together to ensure the service continues to meet the needs of our business and its customers. /p h3Key Tasks /h3 ul liFoster seamless collaboration between development and operations teams by acting as a facilitator and trusted advisor. /li liEquip engineering teams with the necessary tools, knowledge, and expertise to operate effectively in the cloud environment. /li liLead and execute complex migrations from various source environments to the cloud, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
/li liChampion and implement Cloud Excellence principles to optimize cloud resource utilization and establish best practices. /li liDrive cross‑domain knowledge transfer, promoting the adoption of similar infrastructure architecture across engineering teams. /li liAdvocate for continuous improvement of DevOps practices within the engineering teams. /li liCollaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery. /li liProactively identify and address issues by designing and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions for applications and infrastructure. /li liParticipate in tabletop exercises to prepare for potential incidents and ensure effective response strategies are in place. /li liTake ownership of on‑call rotations, ensuring timely identification and resolution of production issues. /li liLead the RCA process. /li /ul h3Skills Expertise /h3 h3Technical Expertise /h3 ul liMinimum of 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role or similar technical role. /li liStrong understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS) and containerization technologies (Docker). /li liProficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation tasks. /li liExperience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet). /li liProficiency in IaC languages (Terraform, Terragrunt, CDK, CloudFormation) for infrastructure automation. /li liFamiliarity with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, CloudWatch). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
