ph3Position Description /h3 pNextpower is seeking an experienced Sr. eBOS Engineer to lead the engineering, design, and technical execution of Electrical Balance of System (eBOS) solutions for utility‑scale solar projects. This role combines technical leadership, electrical engineering expertise, customer engagement, and project execution to support the successful delivery of optimized AC and DC electrical systems. The Lead eBOS Engineer will work cross‑functionally with Sales, Project Management, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Field Engineering to develop technically robust, cost‑effective, and scalable solutions while driving engineering best practices and continuous improvement. /p pThe adecuado candidate has strong experience in utility‑scale PV electrical systems, power distribution, and eBOS design, with the ability to lead multiple projects, support customers, and mentor engineering teams. /p h3Major Duties Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the electrical engineering and design of eBOS systems for utility‑scale photovoltaic projects. /li liDevelop and optimize AC and DC electrical distribution layouts, including trunk bus systems, string harnesses, combiner boxes, disconnects, grounding systems, and related electrical infrastructure. /li liLead electrical design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, customer specifications, and project requirements. /li liDevelop and manage engineering requirements, technical deliverables, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. /li liPrepare and maintain engineering documentation packages, including: ul liElectrical schematics /li liLayout drawings /li liBOMs /li liInstallation drawings /li liTechnical specifications /li liTest documentation /li /ul /li liProvide technical leadership during project execution, supporting engineering decisions from proposal through commissioning. /li liWork directly with customers, EPCs, developers, and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into optimized engineering solutions. /li liSupport Sales during pre‑ and post‑sales activities by providing technical presentations, design recommendations,
and proposal support. /li liDrive value engineering initiatives focused on improving system performance, constructability, manufacturability, and cost reduction. /li liAnalyze technical challenges and develop repeatable, practical, and supportable engineering solutions within project timelines. /li liSupport product and system integration activities for new and existing eBOS solutions. /li liAnalyze field performance and failure data, identifying corrective and preventive actions that improve product reliability and customer satisfaction. /li liCollaborate with Product Management, RD, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to continuously improve products, documentation, engineering standards, and internal processes. /li liMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across engineering projects. /li liLead multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and customer expectations. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or equivalent. /li li5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, eBOS design, power distribution, or utility‑scale solar projects. /li liStrong experience designing AC and DC electrical distribution systems, including systems operating above 1kV DC. /li liExperience with utility‑scale PV system integration and Electrical Balance of System (eBOS). /li liProficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. /li liStrong understanding of electrical drafting standards and engineering documentation. /li liExperience preparing engineering deliverables including drawings, BOMs, installation packages, and technical specifications. /li liStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
