ph3Job Description Summary /h3 pThe Pitch and Yaw Electrical Engineer will be responsible for components within the Pitch and Yaw System team. The engineers in the Pitch and Yaw system section are responsible for the motors, cabinet assemblies, cables, and integration of these components into the turbine within the Onshore and Offshore wind turbine platforms. Which includes being responsible for trade‑off studies, engineering changes and design releases, bill of material creation and maintenance, validation always achieving the excellence in terms of safety and quality. She/He will work cross functionally with colleagues across the integral pitch and yaw team, as well as sourcing, validation and quality teams. /p pFocus for an Electrical Pitch and Yaw engineer is: /p ul liI) ensure safety and quality excellence: completion of all hardware releases, leading design changes; seeking most cost‑effective and schedule‑effective solutions. /li liII) lead the design process of the component: with a deep knowledge of the component, leads the trade‑off studies and design of the component completing all the releases associated to the project (3D models, 2D drawings, bill of material, parts releases, configuration of the parts, and final approvals). /li /ul h3Job Description /h3 h3Roles and Responsibilities /h3 h3Leading: /h3 ul liManage design releases and change processes. Engineering Changes Requests Enterprise Change Orders, including cabinets assembly and integration into the rotor. /li liEvaluate, select, and apply appropriate electronic technology and components. /li liAble to design in the complex cable harness assemblies for electrical and mechanical properties. /li liFull ownership and accountability for design, specs, requirements definition, development and testing (vibration, thermal, EMC, Electrical test, ingress protection, etc.) and certification (component turbine compliance) of appointed component. /li liLifecycle support (including certification) from development to manufacturing to product manufacturing sunset. Respond to manufacturing requests (NCR/SDR)
fleet (PAC) request. /li liTesting and Validation -In a cost-effective manner, selects, develops, document and directs the execution of a physical test (e.g., components, external systems) utilizing instrumentation as needed, to understand the design, validate design/analysis, or demonstrate conformance to requirements. /li liPractical application of mechanical design tools (CAD, preferrable NX, ANSYS) and creation of detailed design and Bill of Material for manufacturable product. /li liPerform Engineering Excellence and provide innovative design solutions to deliver world class in Safety and Quality. /li /ul pOperation: /p ul liSelf‑management of daily operations to achieve on time priorities scheduled with the technical leader. Accountable of design component deliverables. /li liWork closely with internal customers, fleet support teams, and systems engineering on fleet issues and improvement determinations. /li /ul h3Deliverables: /h3 ul liCoordinate with Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team to produce high quality manufacturing and assembly documentation; 3D / 2D drawings, electrical schematics and technical specifications for accuracy prior to release. /li liEnsure quality of deliverables, on time delivery, design cost, DFMEA, performance, availability, weight and general targets defined by the business related to the component. /li /ul h3Support: /h3 ul liWork with cross‑functions (services, manufacturing, suppliers, systems, sourcing, program management) to ensure robust development of component. /li liWork with internal and external test labs to drive validation strategy of component requirements. /li liAs a component owner to apply design practices,
standards, new methods or tools according to company process to ensure safety and quality of the product. /li liSupport should‑cost assessments and support cost optimisation efforts with suppliers to meet component cost targets at component level. /li liAssist with supplier qualifications including occasional supplier visit for FPQ or to support quality lead audit. /li liSupport root cause analysis (RCA) programs to mitigate weaknesses in the design. /li liEnsure lessons learned are promptly incorporated into design. /li /ul h3Required Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor of Science Degree in an Electrical, Mechatronics or related discipline. /li liProven technology and/or engineering experience within the wind turbine industry or in a similar technical environment. /li liFluent in English (spoken and written). /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liWind industry expertise with proven results developing implementing technology programs. /li liProduct-Life Cycle-Management (PLM) expertise. /li liAble to work independently. /li liAble to understand electrical schematics. /li liKnowledge and application of electro‑mechanical components in power conversion applications, including wire separation for power and control distribution. /li liKnowledge of relevant industry Standards and applicable Design Codes (e.g. IEC/UL 61800-5-1). /li liSkilled in mechanical and electrical component design calculations, specifications and schematics. /li liDemonstrated system thinking: ability to assess tradeoffs, effectively assess risk, and optimise results. /li liBusiness acumen and customer focus. /li liDemonstrated ability to work horizontally across stakeholders to influence outcomes. /li liStrong interpersonal skills including: ownership, self‑motivated, problem solving, analytical, team player, communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to develop relationships. /li /ul h3Additional Information /h3 pRelocation Assistance Provided: No /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
