ph3Job Overview /h3pWe are seeking an experienced Compliance Counsel to support our compliance function in Spain and the broader EMEA region. This role will provide practical compliance guidance across a broad range of regulatory areas, including data privacy, cybersecurity, labor and employment, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption, corporate ethics, internal investigations, and regulatory risk management. /ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliProvide compliance guidance to the business on applicable European and Spanish laws and regulations, including data privacy, cybersecurity, labor and employment, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption, corporate governance, and ethics requirements. /liliSupport compliance with privacy and data protection requirements, including GDPR, cross‑border data transfers, data processing agreements, privacy impact assessments, and incident response. /liliProvide compliance guidance on cybersecurity regulatory requirements, including cybersecurity governance, operational resilience, incident reporting, third‑party risk management, and emerging European cybersecurity legislation. /liliProvide compliance guidance to Human Resources and business leaders on employment law compliance, workplace investigations, employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, employee privacy, and related labor matters. /liliSupport the company’s anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption program by providing compliance guidance on gifts and hospitality, conflicts of interest, third‑party due diligence, and compliance with applicable anti‑corruption laws. /liliConduct and support internal investigations involving alleged violations of company policies, the Code of Conduct, and applicable laws, and recommend appropriate corrective actions. /liliDevelop, implement, and maintain compliance policies, procedures, controls,
and training programs to promote an ethical culture and ensure regulatory compliance. /liliMonitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and communicate emerging compliance risks and regulatory developments affecting operations in Spain and the broader EMEA region. /liliPartner with Legal, Information Security, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and business leaders to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks. /liliSupport regulatory inquiries, audits, and interactions with government authorities, as needed. /li /ulh3Key Competencies and Qualifications /h3ulliLaw degree and qualification to practice law in Spain. /liliMinimum of 5 years of experience in legal, compliance, or regulatory roles, preferably within a multinational organization. /liliStrong experience in more than one of the following areas: compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, labor and employment, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption, internal investigations, or corporate ethics, and the ability and willingness to provide compliance guidance across a broad range of regulatory matters. /liliExcellent analytical, judgment, problem‑solving, and communication skills. /liliAbility to provide practical, business‑oriented compliance guidance. /liliProven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross‑functional and international teams. /liliHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and sound ethical judgment. /liliFluency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken, is required. /liliProficiency in one or more additional European languages is preferred. /li /ulh3Company Overview /h3pAt Nextpower, we are driving the general energy transition with an integrated clean energy technology platform that combines intelligent structural, electrical, and digital solutions for utility‑scale power plants.
