ppAs a GDS Quoting Expert within the Westcon-Comstor International team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless and compliant importation of IT products across global markets. You will be responsible for preparing accurate quotes that reflect the full scope of Importer of Record (IOR) responsibilities, including customs compliance, documentation, logistics coordination, and financial liability. Your work will directly support international business operations, ensuring timely and lawful delivery of goods to customers. /ppLocation: In travel distance of one of our EU offices, this is a hybrid role /ppLanguage: Proficient English plus a European language /ph3Quoting Commercial Support /h3ulliPrepare and deliver accurate IOR-inclusive quotes for international shipments, factoring in customs duties, taxes, and compliance costs. /liliCollaborate with sales, logistics, and legal teams to ensure quotes reflect current regulations and operational capabilities. /liliMaintain up-to-date knowledge of country-specific import requirements and incorporate them into quoting processes. /li /ulh3IOR Compliance Documentation /h3ulliEnsure all import transactions comply with local and international customs laws and regulations. /liliPrepare, review, and submit all necessary import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin. /liliAct as the legal entity responsible for the importation of goods, accepting financial and regulatory liability. /li /ulh3Logistics Coordination /h3ulliLiaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth delivery of goods.



/liliMonitor shipment progress and proactively resolve any customs or logistical issues. /liliSupport the selection and management of third-party logistics providers for IOR services. /li /ulh3Risk Management Reporting /h3ulliIdentify and mitigate risks related to import transactions, including compliance breaches and financial exposure. /liliMaintain accurate records of all IOR activities for audit and reporting purposes. /liliProvide regular updates and reports to management on IOR performance and compliance metrics. /li /ulh3Qualifications Experience /h3ulliProven experience in international logistics, trade compliance, or import/export operations. /liliFamiliarity with customs regulations and IOR responsibilities across multiple regions (e.g., EMEA, APAC, Americas). /liliStrong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial and regulatory documentation. /liliExcellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teams. /liliProficiency in ERP systems and quoting tools; SAP or Oracle experience is a plus. /li /ulh3Preferred Attributes /h3ulliCertification in international trade or customs compliance (e.g., CUSECO, CCS). /liliExperience in the IT distribution industry. /liliAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. /li /ulpWestcon-Comstor is a general technology distributor specialising in cybersecurity, networking,
