ppVall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public-sector institution located in Barcelona, Spain, that promotes and develops innovative biomedical research at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital. VHIR aims to provide solutions to citizens’ health problems and contribute to scientific, educational, social and economic development. /p pVHIR offers a part-time position for a Physiotherapist to join the Paediatric Neuromuscular Unit, through close collaboration between the Paediatric Neurology and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) teams. The selected candidate will participate in the multidisciplinary assessment and follow-up of children and adolescents with neurological and neuromuscular disorders. The position combines clinical activities in research projects, natural-history studies and clinical trials. /p h3Main responsibilities and duties /h3 ul liParticipate in the clinical and research activities of the Paediatric Neuromuscular Unit. /li liWork in close coordination with the Paediatric PMR team and the hospital’s clinical physiotherapists. /li liPerform standardised motor and functional assessments in children and adolescents with neurological and neuromuscular disorders. /li liParticipate in multidisciplinary assessments and coordinated follow-up visits. Assess mobility, muscle strength, joint range of motion, contractures, posture and functional abilities. Administer clinical outcome measures used in routine care, natural-history studies and clinical trials of muscular dystrophies, spinal muscular atrophy, congenital myopathies and other paediatric neuromuscular disorders, including MFM, CHOP INTEND, Hammersmith scales, NSAA, RULM, PUL and timed functional tests. /li liContribute to research and to the incorporation and validation of novel assessment technologies. /li liCollect, register and manage clinical and research data in accordance with study protocols and Good Clinical Practice. /li liParticipate in clinical trials, observational studies, natural-history studies and other research projects. /li liCollaborate in the preparation of study visits, clinical reports, research documentation and study-related materials. /li liCoordinate with paediatric neurologists, rehabilitation physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, clinical researchers and other professionals involved in patient care. /li /ul h3Education and qualifications /h3 h3Required /h3 ul liBachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy. /li liEligibility to practise as a physiotherapist in Spain. /li liFluency in Spanish.
