We invite you to be part of something bigger. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 bSustainability Environmental Performance /b ul liDesign and lead sustainability projects focused on energy efficiency, water reduction, and waste minimization, tracking progress through Unilever’s global reporting system. /li liMonitor environmental KPIs and emissions (air, water, noise, soil), analyze data, and present insights and improvement opportunities to management. /li liStay current on emerging technologies and market solutions to proactively identify and implement sustainability improvements. /li liManage effluent treatment plant operations — ensuring performance, safety, and compliance at all times. /li /ul bSafety, Health Compliance /b ul liEnsure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety legislation and Unilever’s internal standards, maintaining rigorous HSE documentation. /li liLead risk assessments and incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive measures. /li liCoordinate audits, regulatory inspections, and relationships with authorities, ensuring all accreditations and documentation are up to date. /li liMaintain an active presence on the shop floor to proactively detect, assess, and eliminate risks before they escalate. /li /ul bTraining Environmental Culture /b ul liDevelop and deliver environmental and safety training programs for all plant employees.
/li liDrive environmental awareness across teams — promoting best practices in waste segregation, hazardous material handling, and responsible resource use. /li liCollaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Logistics to embed sustainability and safety into everyday operations. /li /ul h3Experience and Qualifications /h3 bEducation /b pDegree in Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Higher Vocational Training or above) /p bExperience /b p3–5 years in sustainability, HSE, or environmental management — ideally in a manufacturing environment /p bLanguages /b ul liEnglish (intermediate — written and spoken) /li /ul bCertification /b pPreventive Resource certification /p bCompetencies /b ul liData-driven mindset — comfortable managing environmental KPIs and reporting through centralised systems. /li liStrong knowledge of environmental and occupational health safety regulations. /li liProven ability to lead cross-functional projects from identification through to implementation. /li liExcellent communicator with experience engaging internal teams and external stakeholders (auditors, authorities, suppliers). /li liProactive and field-oriented — comfortable being present on the factory floor, not just behind a desk. /li liCollaborative, structured, and committed to continuous improvement. /li /ul pUnilever is an organisation committed to equity, inclusion and diversity to drive our business results and create a better future, every day, for our diverse employees, general consumers, partners, and communities.
