ppWe're looking for a skilled bCore Ledger Specialist /b to join our platform team. Our team does not develop the core ledger systems ourselves — they are built and delivered by external suppliers. Your role is to understand the business and financial logic deeply, define and write clear requirements, verify and regression test what our suppliers deliver, and support internal configuration of the platform. A significant part of this role is providing hands-on internal support to colleagues across the business who rely on the core ledger day to day — this is something all specialists in the team spend a lot of time on. This role calls for strong analytical and technical skills combined with a good understanding of how financial ledgers work. /ppYou will join a small, close-knit team: today the Core Ledger team consists of a Head of Core Ledger IT, a Product Manager, and two Core Ledger Specialists (one of whom also carries delivery management responsibilities). This is a great opportunity to make a direct impact early on and help shape the team as it grows. /ph3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3ullipDefine and document clear, detailed requirements for transaction processing, balance management, and posting logic, to be delivered by external suppliers /p /lilipVerify and regression test supplier deliveries to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all ledger operations /p /lilipCollaborate with the Head of Core Ledger IT and suppliers on solution design and technical decisions /p /lilipInvestigate and resolve complex ledger-related incidents and data discrepancies, working with suppliers when needed /p /lilipMaintain clear documentation, including requirements,



data flows, test results, and runbooks /p /lilipSupport internal configuration of the core ledger platform /p /lilipProvide hands-on internal support to other teams (finance, customer service, operations, and others) on day-to-day ledger questions and issues — this is a significant and ongoing part of the role /p /lilipSupport integration of new products and financial instruments into the ledger framework, working with suppliers and Product Management /p /lilipWork closely with QA and the Delivery Manager to ensure supplier deliveries are well tested before approval /p /li /ulh3bQualifications and Experience /b /h3pDesired Skills /pullip4+ years of experience working with financial or transactional systems, in a requirements, analysis, or configuration role /p /lilipStrong understanding of bookkeeping, financial transaction processing, or core banking systems /p /lilipExperience writing clear, detailed requirements and acceptance chriteria for systems delivered by external suppliers /p /lilipFamiliarity with relational databases and ability to query and analyse data (SQL) /p /lilipSolid understanding of how to verify and test complex system deliveries /p /li /ulpNice to Have /pullipExperience working in a regulated financial environment (banking, payments, BNPL)
