ppbARQUIMEA /b, we are a btechnology company /b operating globally and providing innovate solutions and products in highly demanding sectors. /p pOur areas of activity are bAerospace, Defense Security, Big Science, Biotechnology and Fintech. /b /p pWe are looking for a bSystems Engineer/Technical Lead /b with solid knowledge of bsoftware and electronics /bto lead the development of bavionics subsystem/system projects /b for bspace applications /b(data processing systems, imaging, communications/networks, and mechatronics). /p h3Main function: /h3 pActively lead and contribute to engineering activities throughout all phases of the solution lifecycle (technical proposal, development, qualification/validation/acceptance, and operation), acting as both a Systems Engineer and Technical Lead. /p h3Core functions: /h3 ul liLead the development lifecycle of systems and software products. /li liSpecify and analyze system requirements and derive subsystem requirements (hardware, firmware, and software). /li liDesign functional, logical, and physical system architectures. /li liDefine and manage the system requirements (functional and technical). /li liDevelop and oversee the Verification Validation plan, ensuring compliance with applicable methodologies (e.g., ECSS or other standards). /li liEnsure all activities, processes, and deliverables meet program specifications, predefined plans, and quality strategies. /li liLead the technical team, fostering continuous improvement and providing necessary resources and tools. /li liEnsure project execution aligns with client requirements and economic objectives. /li liSupport project managers and technical teams in achieving their goals. /li liSupervise client interactions throughout the entire product lifecycle, from design to implementation and analysis. /li liDefine and manage the technical budget and track expenditures. /li liReport project progress to management. /li liPlan and oversee all engineering activities within the project. /li liIdentify and manage technical risks, addressing issues and controlling their impact on development plans. /li liConduct conceptual and architectural system designs. /li liDefine technical validation criteria for system designs. /li liParticipate in project management meetings, development phase reviews, and risk assessments.
/li liMonitor and close project actions, including change orders and design modifications. /li liLead and contribute to the preparation and review of system technical documentation (e.g., requirement specifications, architectural descriptions, interface specifications, qualification and validation plans, compliance matrices, RAMS documents, and configuration management documents). /li liDefine specifications for avionics subsystems and establish data interfaces and protocols. /li liDevelop the Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) concept and architecture. /li liSupport procurement by drafting Statements of Work, participating in technical meetings, and verifying documentation. /li liAssist in defining and overseeing system AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Verification) and AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Testing) processes. /li /ul h3Required experience and candidate profile: /h3 ul liMaster's degree in telecommunication, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. /li lib+10 years of experience /b in similar positions within the space industry (preferably), aeronautical, or defense sectors, with at least 4 years of experience in international projects. /li liExperience as an embedded systems development engineer (HW/FW/SW engineering), preferably in data processing and onboard distributed telematics solutions operating over IP networks (wired and wireless) with VoIP and IP video. /li /ul h3Technical Requirements: /h3 pTraining / specific knowledge required in: /p ul liProven experience in software requirements definition and software lifecycle management. /li liIn-depth knowledge of aerospace or industry-equivalent standards (such as DO-178C, ECSS, MIL-STD, etc.). /li liExperience using requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Visure, or others). /li liExcellent interpersonal and communication skills. /li liFluent in written and spoken English. /li liProactive and solution-oriented personality, results-driven,
with strong problem-solving skills. /li liKnowledge of avionics architecture. /li liUnderstanding of the FDIR (Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery) concept and its architectural framework. /li liUnderstanding in the development cycle and processes of FPGA projects. /li liUnderstanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) for spacecraft avionics. /li /ul ul liFamiliarity with data interfaces and communication protocols (such as CAN/CANopen, SpW, MIL-1553, PUS, etc.). /li liKnowledge of onboard computer HW and SW architecture. /li liExperience working with test environments and test equipment. /li /ul h3Nice-to-have training / specific knowledge: /h3 ul liKnowledge of electronics, with experience working closely with or within an electronic systems development team. /li liExperience in space environments, specializing in analog, power, or digital design. /li liKnowledge and/or certifications in systems/SW engineering standards (CMMI, IEEE, INCOSE, etc.) and project management (PMP, or others). /li liExperience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML or Capella. /li liKnowledge of cybersecurity and experience implementing cybersecurity measures in embedded systems. /li liFamiliarity with the Space Segment DDV (Design, Development, and Verification) and AIV (Assembly, Integration, and Verification) processes as outlined by ECSS. /li /ul ul liBasic understanding of key design features and performance metrics for Avionics AOCS units (e.g., magnetometers, magnetic torquers, star trackers, reaction wheels, CMGs, and sun sensors). /li /ul pThe position is blocated in /b our Headquarters of bTorrejón de Ardoz (Madrid). /b /p pThe candidate must be eligible to work in the EU. /p pWe're looking for bcurious, creative, tenacious /b and bcollaborative people /b, eager to do things and unafraid to tackle challenges in order to contribute to improving the society in wich we live. /p h3Think Big, Do the Job Enjoy Life /h3 pAt ARQUIMEA, we value diversity and inclusion.
