In this position, you will play a key role in preparing financial reports to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax obligations, and other related financial activities. Experience with NetSuite is critical for this role. You will perform general accounting and ensure our financial records are accurate and insightful. If you enjoy digging into data, improving processes, and collaborating with others to solve problems, this role is for you. /p h3What challenges you’ll be solving /h3 ul liOversee and lead all accounting operations across multiple entities and geographies (EU and beyond), ensuring excellence in financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory adherence. /li liEnsure the integrity of accounting information by compiling, verifying, analysing, and accurately recording asset, liability, revenue, and expense transactions. /li liLead month‑end closing activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and accurately recording all income and expenses. /li liPrepare and review monthly balance sheets, PL statements,



and other financial reports. /li liPrepare and consolidate financial statements across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate reporting for entities operating in various countries. /li liOversee payroll accounting and coordinate with HR to ensure accurate monthly compensation recording. /li liCalculate, record, and analyse default provisions for expected credit losses within the consumer lending portfolio. /li liPrepare monthly and quarterly tax provisions (e.g. VAT, corporate income tax) and provide necessary data to external tax advisors. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with filings and statutory accounts. /li liProactively maintain internal controls, suggest improvements, and uphold high compliance standards with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. /li liCollaborate closely with FPA, Treasury, Operations, and Tech teams to clearly communicate the financial implications of business decisions. /li liTake ownership of accounting processes, continuously improving their efficiency and scalability. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred. /li li3–5 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services is a plus. /li liExperience with any ERP systems is a plus. /li liStrong knowledge of Spanish GAAP and IFRS and core accounting principles. Proven expertise in managing general ledger, month‑end close, and financial reporting. /li liAdvanced Excel skills are required (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis). /li liAnalytical and curious. You enjoy diving into financial data to identify trends, investigate anomalies, perform variance analysis, and synthesize findings for stakeholders. /li liFluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken), with a strong ability to clearly communicate financial information and collaborate effectively across teams. /li liHave a hands‑on, proactive attitude.
