Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
- Develop in‑depth knowledge of a technical discipline through prior experience and acquired expertise.
- Use technical expertise to execute policy/strategy and integrate with business drivers.
- Identify how the work of the own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Apply judgment and propose solutions outside of set parameters with guidance.
- Utilize prior experience and on‑the‑job training to solve straightforward tasks.
- Apply technical skills and analytical thinking to solve problems and use multiple internal sources to arrive at decisions.
- Provide informal guidance to new team members; may serve as an early people leader responsible for hiring and developing talent.
- Design Hydro Generators within the transactional business, respecting customer specifications as well as GE Vernova internal design criteria, manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance feasibility while maintaining a safety, quality, delivery, and cost mindset.
- Support existing product refurbishment, incorporating new or refurbished parts into existing units.
- Secure the right technical interfaces and coordinate well‑design consolidation between technical project teams.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component, comparable to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- High school diploma with relevant experience may also be considered.
Desired Characteristics

- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Established project management skills.
