As Principal OHL Engineer, you will lead overhead line design for transmission projects up to 400 kV within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll provide technical support across project lifecycles, from feasibility to delivery, and contribute to large-scale programs like GGP. You’ll shape design criteria, routing, and technical deliverables while ensuring standards and client expectations are met. Compensaciones / Ventajas
• Provide technical design support for overhead line projects across multiple disciplines
• Model with PLS-CADD and develop line routing, structural analysis, sag-tension calculations, and clearance reports
• Lead/participate in feasibility studies, thermal ratings, and regulatory compliance
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables including reports, proposals, drawings, and presentations
• Coordinate across disciplines and oversee quality checks of drawings and calculations
• Engage in project implementation, statutory planning, and public consultation contributions
• Support proposal writing with scope, timelines, resources, budgets, and objectives
• Contribute to large programs such as GGP projects
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor in Engineering
• Experience delivering transmission projects for operators such as xqbhyrx National Grid, SSE, and REE
• Project experience in overhead line engineering (ideally up to 400 kV)
• Chartered or Professional Engineer status (or working towards it) preferred
• Proven ability to coordinate across disciplines and review outputs to a high standard
