Here’s what you’ll be upto
As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to cover Spain. In this role, you will report directly to the Country Manager of Spain and play a key role in driving our regional expansion. Your mission will be to build WDP’s local market intelligence and commercial network in Valencia/East Spain, identify and qualify opportunities, win the first commercial leads and help translate WDP’s international track record into a credible local market position.
- You act as WDP’s local ambassador in the Valencia logistics ecosystem in close collaboration with the WDP Project Development Manager. You will be responsible for implementing the commercial strategy by identifying, qualifying and capturing the first wave of opportunities in Spain and attracting companies looking for logistics real estate solutions.
- You maintain close relationships with real estate agents and act as a complementary partner, working alongside clients throughout the process.
- You will be responsible for developing new sites and seeking acquisitions of existing logistics buildings (incl. land positions, development opportunities, built-to-suit projects, acquisitions and sale-and-leaseback transactions).
- You develop a local market map of key occupiers,
brokers, landowners, municipalities, developers, advisors and logistics operators. You lead contract negotiations and collaborate closely with the legal team and project managers on new construction projects.
- You closely monitor trends and developments in the logistics sector, with a strong focus on smart buildings, energy solutions, sustainability, etc., and their impact on the portfolio.
- You hold a master's degree or have relevant professional experience.
- You bring a strong, proven track record gained in a logistics-driven environment.
- You have 5–10 years of experience in logistics real estate, industrial real estate, occupier advisory, development, brokerage, land acquisition, asset management or real estate expansion.
- Experience with logistics or industrial real estate is a must; exposure to land, leasing, built-to-suit projects, acquisitions or sale-and-leaseback transactions is a strong plus.
- You are comfortable working in an entrepreneurial market-entry context, where structure is being built and where you are expected to take initiative.
- You can operate independently, but know when to involve legal, technical, and financial colleagues.
- You are fluent in Spanish and English.
- You are a true team player who collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- You have a strong commercial mindset and a clear understanding of customer needs.
- You are communicative, proactive, and dynamic, with an natural talent for building long-term relationships.
